this is going round in my mind as well we have 6 other couples arriving the same time as us and i want to give them out to them when we are in the hotel rather than before we travel. So am thinking of arranging to meet in bar a couple of hours after we land in the evening and handing them out then as everyone will be having an early night due to the jet lag from the flight to Mexico from London. The other 3 who arrive 2 days later I am going to meet in reception when they check in. I dont want to have them in the rooms already when they arrive as i would have to ship them over and i know there is the option to upgrade your room on check in and can see a few people going for that option. I dont want my hard efforts going to waste :-)

I spoke with the hotel this morning and they noted all the rooms that get the bags. My dad is getting there before me so he is going to take the bags to the front desk for me.

      Hopefully all goes well!

I asked the hotel and they said that they would hand them out (no charge) when guests checked in as long as they were ALL the same. So I can't make different ones for kids/guys/girls, etc but that's fine with me.

Great idea, I've been thinking on how to get them to people before we leave so I don't have to travel with them. We will be getting married right after Christmas also...now did you put something like a thank you for booking or anything? Typically people do a thank you for coming...just looking for some wording suggestions! : )

We wrote up a welcome letter and included one in each bag. It was a cute idea. I'm at work so I don't have it here but I'll see if I still have it when I get home. If not, do a search for welcome letters and you'll get all kinds of ideas, that's what I did.

I might change my mind when the time comes- but I have a spreadsheet of when ppl are arriving... and I want to greet them when they come in-- but again, will prob change my mind :) and let the front desk pass them out :)

I'm going to have the hotel front desk give them to people when they check in. Anyone not staying at our hotel will get their bag at the welcome dinner.

I am doing a Welcome Happy Hour at one of the Bars, and handing out the OOT bags then, which will also give me the opportunity to welcome everyone the Friday night before the wedding.

i think i'm going to budget having the bags in my guests rooms (or given to them at check in).

i was thinking a bag per couple, but now a few of my friends are bringing their friends (ie. two girls per room) and I guess I'll have to do a bag each. ...and i can't do a bag for my bachelor guys as it's a little girly.

I am wondering what to do also. We have guest arriving different days so I didn't know if they should be in the rooms or if we should give them at the rehearsal dinner....
