I Have to Use Beaches Negril Resort Photographer

Recommended Posts

Beaches Negril has a new policy. Unless you are willing (or can afford) to pay for three nights for your wedding photographer, you cannot bring one in. We can't afford to do that plus the cost of the photographers services too. One of our reasons for a DW was to keep it affordable. So I guess I will have to use the resort photographer. I am really upset about it because I found a Jamaican photographer I really liked but I guess it is what it is. I really think I will just want the images on a CD since they dont seem like they are artfully edited. I can just buy photoshop and edit them myself. I guess I have a few questions:

1. Can you wait to book a photographer until you get down there? I have a phone appt with my WC in Miami tomorrow and I have a feeling she is going to try and push a package. Why would I pay for something without seeing samples of their work first?

2. How long can you have the photographer for?

3. Has anyone done a trash the dress session with the resort photgrapher?

4. What has been everyone's experiences with the resort photographers there? Anyone have pictures?

Thank you so much!!

We are going to Sandals Negril in May. We are having our wedding off resort through a WC in Jamaica. After all the extra expenses for the "free" wedding at Sandals it wasn't much more to do it off resort. And we think it is much more personalized for us. We are also getting a true sunset wedding.

I ended up having Simone in Negril. She was awesome!!! I had my wedding on October 16, 2010. I just wanted to let you all know that I will be reviewing my experience (which was awesome!!) on my blog http://lachapstickfanatique.blogspot.com/ over the next few weeks. I wanted to be able to use a lot of pictures and talk about each aspect specifically which is more difficult to do on here. So please stop by and I can answer any questions you need!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
