Hi, im a newbie and looking to get married in November 2011. We are looking at isla de la pasion in Mexico. Has anyone already got married here or planning on. Would be great to hear others view points and find out more info. Thanks

My first time on this site, so guess you can say i am a newbie as well. I too am wondering about this location (Isla de La pasion) for a wedding. I will be getting married this coming November however it will only be myself and my hubbie to  be so not much planning really but ANY info would be certainly appreciated.  Will probably be staying in a resort in Playa or Cancun or possibly Cozumel. pls email: razorz@telus.net

I've been in cancun for a lot of years and this place has always inspired me and recently, its becoming a HOT spot.  I'm hoping to go soon and I'll share my pics :)

         I will be getting married March 30,2013 at Isla de Pasion too! I will tell you all the info I have so far. I have attached the first e-mail I got for the wedding:

 

Thank you for contacting me, My name is Meliza; I am the Diamond Orchid Weddings' wedding coordinator. Your wedding is a very special event, that is why I would like to present you with a unique place for your wedding: Isla de la Pasión (Spanish for Passion Island). The name is not incidental, it evolved from the Mayan rituals performed in this place to worship the Moon Goddess Ix Chel, in order to have a success ful and fertile marriage.

You requested a quote for the Diamond Orchid package, which includes as specify on the follow itemized list:
 

  • Private location for Ceremony at Isla de la Pasión.
  • Christian minister or officiant services.
  • Round transportation from your Hotel.
  • China and glassware.
  • Tablecloths and cover chairs.
  • Decoration and centerpieces.
  • Flower arch.
  • Petals hall on aisle.
  • Bouquet and boutonniere.
  • Hair and make up.
  • Wedding cake.
  • Photographer service (200 digital pictures).
  • Dj (5 hrs).
  • Bartender and waiter service.
  • Planning and coordination.
  • Banquet of any of the follow choices:
    Sea Jewels (    Shrimp empanadas - Ceviche in coconut sauce - Air, sea, and land skewers)

    Tropical Treasures (Mozzarella sensuale fritatto - Shrimp, palm heart, and kiwi cocktail - Chicken breast with fungi mixture)      

  • Domestic open bar (Rum, tequila and vodka mixed drinks - Red and white wine - XX Lager beer - Sodas)

  • One night accommodation on a private Hut on Isla Pasión.

     

After the reception, you can stay one night in the only lodge in the island. It is designed to provide a very comfortable and romantic setting. You will have air conditioner, electricity and all the services to make you feel at home. In the morning you can have a spectacular view of the sun rising over the turquoise sea next to your significant other.

The package is 2,510 USD plus a charge of 100 USD per guest, but it is also 100% customizable, so if you need further iformation or pictures let me know. If would like so, we can arrange a phone meeting at your convenience

For your customized event I can offer you a day pass 01pm and 4pm, they will have access to all beach activities, buffet and open bar. Then get ready for ceremony at 5pm. After ceremony you can enjoy of private open bar and service, dj, pictures, etc. Off course you can bring a drum band or any other that I´m not offering you.
  The quote for the event is 2,510 usd plus a charge per person of 145 usd

 

I have booked my own photographer Citlalli Rico and am working on getting a caterer. I will keep everyone posted on the plans in hope that it will help you plan your wedding as well. our website is www.best-wedding-ever.com if you want any info. I have also booked a fire show for the wedding and am looking into mariachi band for coctail hour. we are  hoping for a ice luge martini bar, night time hooka bar ect. I am working on contracts right now for hotel, coordinator, and caterer and will let everyone know who responds quickly, seems fair ect. :) e-mail me anytime!       Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
