Any Ceiba del Mar Brides?

Recommended Posts

I apologize if I missed a thread on this but my fiance and I just discovered this site and are really excited about all of the info we have found on it! We are getting married at Ceiba in July and their wedding coordinator just quit so we are hoping that the new person is as helpful as we hear that the old one was. So far she has been very sweet. Any one else getting married there in this summer?

Hi abyf121,

I am planning our wedding at Cieba del Mar on June 18, 2010. I have been working with Diana in Sales and Lilia as the WC, is this who you have been working with? Planning to go in April to go over all the details. Would love to discuss your plans.

I'm a Ceiba del Mar bride as well! I'm getting married May 2011. I have been dealing with Diana as well and she has been wonderful. I've never waited more than a couple of hours for responses on anything.

I would LOVE to see pics and reviews from all of you that are before me! There is so little info on here about Ceiba.

While I have not shoot there yet. I have done a walkthrough and the resort is very nice. It is located about 1 mile from my family's home in PM. I will be back down in a few weeks and could get some more pics if you wanted to see something more specific.

Ask9999 - Can you please elaborate on your experiences? I got your PM several weeks ago and responded, but I haven't heard back. I would really like to hear why it was such a bad experience. Do you think you could write up a review on here, to help all of us Ceiba brides to be? Atleast then we'd know what didn't work out (food? decor? wedding coordinator?), and maybe avoid those things, as I know it's too late for some of us to change resorts altogether.

Andrew - Thank you so much for the offer! I'm really interested in seeing more pictures of weddings there. It helps to visualize all the potential locations at the resort to get married. I'm so happy to hear that the resort looked nice when you did your walk through.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
