Gifts for Men????

Ok, so every year, on every possible gift giving occasion I struggle to get my FI a gift. He tells me he doesnâ€t want anything and he is so hard to buy for. So on May 3rd itâ€s his 34 birthday. We happen to be going to Riviera Maya from April 27th to May 2nd for a friendâ€s DW. I was thinking of doing something there, but Iâ€m not coming up with anything (and my hotel/TA wasnâ€t helpful). I was thinking of a romantic dinner on the beach but I accidentally told him and I canâ€t do it now. He isnâ€t active, not into music, and no watches or jewelry. Iâ€m already getting him BD pics for the wedding that I have somehow already managed to keep secret.

I know I canâ€t be the only one who struggles to get gifts for the guy in their lives. Does anyone have any ideas or cool gifts they got or did for their man? In Mexico/vacation or not? Iâ€ll take ANY idea!!

Thanks!!!

Well, what about a money clip or maybe a gaming console or game he really wants or likes. What about golf clubs? I know you said hes not active, but maybe it will lite a fire under his butt and make him go out :P Im having a really hard time of thinking up something for my FI too so I can relate. He literally has EVERYTHING! The one thing he didnt have was a complete gym setup, and low and behold... HE BOUGHT HIMSELF THE SETUP 2 NIGHTS AGO! I cant win haha. Good luck!!!

my FI is soooo hard to shop for as well. I have resorted to doing special gifts for his bday and "normal" gifts for the other occasions, lol.

last year i got him a BMW racing experience. it was for the track in vegas so after his bday we saved some money and made a great trip out of it...went to the grand canyon and hoover dam :)

this year i got him a german bible printed in 1756 that we saw at an antique store. it was funny b/c when i went to get it the seller said there was an english man interested in it....my FI of course...so i had to bat my lashes to get him to lower the price and sell it to me instead. a few days ago, my FI came home upset b/c the bible was sold to "some chick". ha ha...his bday is on weds...can't wait to see the look on his face!!

so i guess just think of "normal" things your FI likes (cars, antiques, etc) and give them a creative twist! good luck :)

Thanks for the replies! Well, my FI doesn’t really golf and neither do his friends, but maybe we can do it together. I could always buy us some lessonshuh.gif

Hmmmm, my FI’s hobbies and interests are movies and politics.

I did get my FI a weekend to the Pocono’s to go skiing. We don’t ski, but we thought it would be fun. I would get us a trip to some where but we are already going to Mexico and Aruba this year.

Thanks for the help. If I come up with something good I will let you guys know!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
