Tropical Weddings Jamaica- amazing choice!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I thought I would update everyone with how my wedding went. We were married Feb 2, 2011 in Montego Bay and used Almarie of Tropical Wedding Jamaica. I was a bit nervous at first as your basically pay in full before the wedding and it was a lot of money! But I have always had such a good feeling about Almarie and Tropical Weddings Jamaica (TWJ) that we just went for it!

We met Almarie a few days before the wedding and she took us down to the wedding venue which was the at the Aqueducts on the Cinnamon Hill Golf Course nearby, and we went through my vision of the wedding day and last minute details. She is so organized though that I felt I was in good hands. She definitely didn't disappoint! Our wedding day was the best day of my life and it was all thanks to TWJ.

She planned everything for the ceremony from flowers, decor, transportation of guests, champagne, band, etc. She truly made my vision come to life and the result was amazing. The best part was that I had no stress about it! She really took care of everything and I was so thankful.

I have a lot of photos posted of my wedding at the Aqueduct under 'Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel' as we had our reception there. I am still in contact with Almarie so if you are thinking of booking please feel free to ask me questions and I will also let her know you are my 'friend' to try and get you good rates!

Hi Lizk23,

I'm thinking about booking as well for around the same time (January/February 2012), would you mind sharing pricing info with me? We're going to be about 50, I'm thinking we'll do ceremony + dinner, I'm just wondering how it compares to the Iberostar pricing. With all the extras, Iberostar is definitely adding up!!

Thanks so much!

ND

I booked with this woman and she gave me payment options. I paid in full 1 month and 2 weeks before the due date. She told me since I sent her the money via western union I need to pay her more because she got JA money and she wants to buy USA money I need to pay the difference. BE VERY CAREFUL, Jamaica is beautiful but some of the people there is crazy. If you have money to pour into her hands book her. I am going with an American owned company that have respect and customer service. I am waiting on my refund and the laws in Jamaica is not like here. I guess this is why they have so much problems. Thank GOD for North America!!!!!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
