I love the capiz shells.  I would love to have these as well, but I agree that $70 is a little too much.  Does anyone know if you can find them at Michael's or another craft store?  Its getting close to my date and I don't want to order online.

Here is what I just made for the Chuppah at my resort!  I saw a pic of hanging orchids and absolutely loved it! They are supposed to be purple, but after ordering 2 separate times, I gave up and went with the pink! Here I only have like 8 completed, but I did 20 overall, 8 for the back of the chuppa and 6 on each side.  We just got some orchid Lei's which I took apart, fishing line, and some lobster claw hooks.  This way you just string the line around the chuppa and clip to the other side, so no tying (we left some room at the top with no flowers for this).

I got it from save.on.crafts.com.  I am both impressed and disappointed by them...so hard to give a review...

 

Like I said, I got my first order (fake lei's and freeze dried petals for flower girl basket) and both were supposed to be lavender, and they were both pink. The petals were just different colored than the online pic, but the lei's I accidentally ordered the pink orchid lei instead of the purple one, so that was my fault. I contacted them and they refunded my whole order (shipping and all) and even sent me a return slip to return that order for free. So I was happy until I ordered again, the purple lei's and some even darker purple petals, and both were pink again.....a different color pink, but pink nonetheless...

 

They did say, you can contact them to get another picture sent, so if going with them I would definitely recommend that. Otherwise their customer service and prices are fantastic!!!

I got the lanterns from justartifacts.com, they had the best prices (well as far as I found).  We actually didnt light them and they still looked great

Hi Karen,

We absolutely love how your chuppah turned out. The idea of incorporating a glass beaded curtain was brilliant! If it's okay with you, we would love to feature it on CasaSugar as a part of a round up we're doing on inspiring ceremony decor.

Here is mine.  I so badly wanted the capiz chandelier and I'm glad they were able to put it up but it was all I could hear during the ceremony!
