Hello everyone,

I'm newly engaged (Valentine's Day) :-) We've decided on a destination wedding, but I'm researching locations. Our wedding date will be June 18, 2011. He has a four year old and my son is nine and we plan to have them during our honeymoon at our destination location.

Hi Welcome to the forum!!! I am gettin married in Sep and I have 2 young sons so a family friendly resort was an important factor in finding my resort. I guess it depends on what kind of wedding you want? Here why I say thay, I orginally wanted to go with a Beaches resort because I know they are famous for their kid friendly resorts. But then then more I started researching I noticed that the Beaches resorts charge a lot of $$ for the wedding. Like if you want the extra decor at your wedding or a photographor be prepard to pay a lot. But if you're looking for a simple wedding then I would def look into Beaches.

I choose Dreams Cancun for my wedding because the resort was family friendly and their wedding packages are pretty reasonable!

Hey,

I have visited the Beaches Property in Turks and that was amazing. Very kid oriented I found though.

Also I'm getting married at Aventura Spa Palace and they have recently turned half the hotel into Aventura Cove Palace which allows families. Never been but from what i hear on this forum its amazing.

Happy Planning.

Hiya! Congrats on your engagement! I too have children and so do both our families! It was so important for us to find an all-inclusive resort that was family oriented as well as affordable so our family can enjoy a nice vacation!! We just booked OUR LUCAYA REEF VILLAGE Bahamas! It's a fantastic beach resort with a kids camp, marina, golfing, spa, casino, a market right across the street...and so much more. I am very pleased with our group rates!! Good Luck:)

Hi Cambellsoup! Welcome!

We're getting married at Azul Beach Resort in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. We chose it for its size (very small) and family-friendliness. We have 6 children coming and it was very important that the kids be taken care of while we're there. Besides the kids club, kiddy pool, and playground, they have Fischer Price toys they'll loan you so that you don't have to bring anything. If any babies end up coming they also provide the cribs, playpens, strollers, changing tables, everything! so that parents don't have to pack it all.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
