hi everyone!

do you know if you do a just a ceremonial and not civil, who would perform the wedding?  do you still have to arrange for someone to be there?

Has anyone had the entire wedding on the beach and not used the restuarant?  Any advice?  I was thinking ceremony outside, then inside for dinner and back outside for reception.  And does anyone have an opinion on having a dance floor vs dancing in the sand?

Thanks!!!

Hi!

I'm planning something close to your idea.

My best friend (and also my man of honor!) is going to be our officiant. He's getting certified online.

As far as being on the beach.. I'm all for it! :) After the ceremony, I plan on having dinner in the restaurant, but then going outside for dancing. I was going back and forth about a dancefloor, but then I realized that I really just want to keep it as natural as possible. I went to a beach bar in Thailand last year, and everyone was dancing in the sand. It was the most amazing, fun, laid back experience ever!

I was wondering if anyone out there has had anyone officate the wedding OTHER than the Legal Judge or Pastor York?  We had origannly planned to do a legal ceremony, but our wedding is on November 9th, and the Judge has STILL not confirmed our wedding time... am scared that he will end up giving us a time that will not work with our schedule!

We are moving forward with a "plan B", however, Pastor York is also not available on that day and I am really starting to panic as the day is so close!  Has anyone else used or is planning to use any other options for the ceremony?

We are doing a symbolic ceremony, officiated by my cousin. Its not legal, we are getting legally married here before bc it was too much hassle and stress for me. But if u get married by a legallly ordained person, not sure if its legal in punta cana like in the U.S.??

Hi Karolina - I'll send you the info via email. There is paperwork you will need to complete beforehand. Thanks TA Patty

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
