Oh...gotcha.  Well yeah I have the 2013 price list... Im sure they will come out with a 2014 list soon.  We are thinking about paying the deposit to book our wedding date...has anyone done this yet?  If so, how has the wire transfer experience?  My fiance was a little iffy about it....

Mayte sent me a 2013 list last week for my 2014 wedding so I'm gonna hold her to those prices. Lol . I wouldn't worry too much , if u want to send her a deposit. As long as your sure this is where you want it. She is super busy and although we generally don't take that as an answer for " business " here in the states , it is what it is in DR. She's apparently the only coordinator and tries to get back to people one a week or so . She did say on the FB page that July is crazy for her. 27 weddings. Just be patient and remember this. When all is said and done there is not one bad review on here of her work Ultimately she comes thru . :0)

My fiance and I have our wedding ceremony booked at Jellyfish for 2015.  We are having trouble with figuring out if we should have a DJ and a dance floor as part of our reception, or if this is not really necessary; or other ideas after the ceremony and dinner??  We don't have a large group of people coming...probably only about 20 guests.  So we don't think a DJ and dance floor is necessary, but I would love to hear any advice on this. Thanks!

I'm not even sure how many guests are coming to our wedding because we don't have the rsvp's in yet. We have been expecting a small number. My fiance and I have had the same argument. In my honest opinion I would much rather pay for a DJ and not have to worry about coming up with the music playlist. I already have too much to worry about! I want to pay for a dance floor to be put up on the sand this way it is easier for the guests to dance.

Yes, there's still only a 2014 price list.
Someone posted on the FB page that they had a 2014 price list but wanted to check with Mayte before sharing. I asked her directly and she said

"That´s not true, I have not 2014 list, because i don´t change the prices until that happends, if is not change?? I preferd to wait for the increase, but I let you know all of you on time."

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
