Thanks a bunch.

Hi there - Jellyfish does not charge vendor fees.

Katya is my photgrapher too, I will be paying for her dinner though.

Best,

Melissa

No vendor fees at Jellyfish. Especially not with Katya, she practically owns the wedding photography business at Jellyfish. Lots of the brides seem to go with her.

I understand she's amazing and will make things work somehow but I would like to know that what I want as far as decor is possible or any other questions I may have. I would rather write one email with all my concerns in hopes to get a long reply back that way I won't have to bother her as often. I heard a while back of a spreadsheet that was going around and it seemed rather helpful to communicate all concerns to Mayte. Can someone forward this to me? Or recommend the best way to get all my answers from Mayte? My email is Daniaterronwedding@gmail.com

Hey Dania97, I just sent you my wedding outline. I do hope it helps :) Let me know if you have any questions as I can answer just about anything regarding the Jellyfish. I try to check on here several times a week but if anything just PM and I will get it right away via my email. Happy Planning!

Hey Ladies,

Just wanted to put myself out there in case some of you have a ton of questions or just need some guidance. I am a personal friend of Mayte's and know just about everything there is to know regarding the JF. Whatever I do not know I will always direct you to Mayte or find out the answer to your question(s) when time permits.

Mayte answers emails based on priority of your wedding dates and she truly does get over 100 emails a day! The busy season has already started and there are some weeks ahead where she has a wedding everyday... that means that she will have to balance arranging the wedding for that day from 8am until quite late at night (this does not include having to meet with each bride for their pre-meeting). So have patience, especially if your wedding is not until next year.  She answers most of her mail based on how close your wedding date is.... the closer it is the more detailed her emails will be, otherwise expect short responses for the time being.

With that said I don't mind helping wherever I can with whatever I can. Please feel free to use me as a resource :) I try to check this website every other day but if you want to reach me sooner just PM me and I will get it directly. Many of you have been asking me some amazing questions in my PM (private mail) that I am sure many others would love to hear the answer to as well, so I do suggest you write the more generic questions on the main page that way everyone can gain knowledge from the answers.

I really enjoy giving back to everyone since everyone was here for me in my time of need :)

Wishing all of you a wonderful time planning!

Warmest Regards,

AR-DreamWedding

P.S: I also have a wedding outline that I created and used for my wedding that I am willing to share with anyone who thinks they may need some help organizing their thoughts. Just let me know if you need it!

Hey chicas!

Does anyone have pricing info for Jellyfish or know if they can accommodate 100-125 people? I was almost set to book at Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe but then I came across the Nuestra Senora del Pilar Catholic Church and the Jellyfish restaurant. With such a large party I am searching for ways to keep costs down and though perhaps this restaurant may be less expensive than having the entire event at a resort.

It's not necessarily less expensive. But you are getting alot more for your money. No nickel and diming like at the resort. Plus you get exclusivity for the most part. In the resort thou see multiple brides on your day. Jellyfish Lso does not cut you off at 10 pm. Most resorts do , and send you to the club. They can accommodate that amount of people but I wouldn't go bigger than that. But no worries, you'll figure out soon enough. If you invite 100 ( which I did ) everyone will say they are going until its actually time to pay . Lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
