Thank you for posting your beautiful photos. Did Mayte make the menu napkin wraps or did you bring those from home? Also is that Pastor Mark Lykins? I booked him for a bilingual ceremony but I have yet to hear any audio or see any wedding videos of him. Thank you!
Would you happen to have pastor Mark email address? Thank you

I understand she's amazing and will make things work somehow but I would like to know that what I want as far as decor is possible or any other questions I may have. I would rather write one email with all my concerns in hopes to get a long reply back that way I won't have to bother her as often. I heard a while back of a spreadsheet that was going around and it seemed rather helpful to communicate all concerns to Mayte. Can someone forward this to me? Or recommend the best way to get all my answers from Mayte? My email is Daniaterronwedding@@gmail.com

Hey Dania,

I wouldn't worry about the communication too much. That's the same thing that happened to me when the wedding date was further out, but the closer the date has been getting the more personal attention I have been getting from Mayte. My recommendation is dont tress so much about it. I know how it feels! My wedding is a few weeks away and everything is falling into place just fine.

Good Morning ladies! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I am one of the BDW TA's and I have been to the Jellyfish it is AWESOME! Mayte is wonderful too! All of my brides have just loved working with her. In regards to the weather - January through April is high season in the DR and weather is typically more mild, but you are in a tropical climate and it could rain at any time. Many times rain storms will move in and out fairly quickly. Last time I was there it was clear skies, a rain storm come up suddenly, lasted about 10 minutes and then blew out again. This is pretty typical. Hurricane season in the Caribbean is typically June through October with August/September being the highest time. October is very popular in the DR since the weather is more mild than the summer months. Unfortunatley weather is one of the things we just can't control! Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks! TA Patty

I think you should definitely try to negotiate - I mean when it has to do with weddings, you have to try. The jellyfish has so much demand you may not get a crazy discount in terms of dollars, but I would be surprised if you weren't able to work something out in terms of value/services. Every wedding vendor I have spoken to was willing to work compromise there.
Wow thank you! That's a great idea!! I will try to speak with the vendors! I really appreciate your response!

My recommendation is to check out the facebook groups where the girls answer your questions, and dont tress so much about it. I know how it feels! I just need to calm my nerves! I tend to want to be in control of the process but with her I need to be patient! I strongly believe Mayte needs an assistant..maybe two. It's too much for one person to have so many women constantly asking questions and wanting to know what's going on with the arrangements of their special day. If she has an assistant designated to answering emails and they were able to keep constant communication through out the process she would be less stressed and brides would be less stressed as well.

That is very true! She definitely needs a helping hand. I'm been waiting for a week to hear back on some questions I have, and I'm getting married in 17 days! She really is amazing for being to handle this on her own!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
