Hello AR-Dreamwedding,

Congrats on your wedding!  Your pics look great.

When you have a moment could you also send me the organizer spread sheet?  I'd really appreciate that.

Also, if anyone has the invoice could someone please send that to me too?  My email is jackieandlaury2013@gmail.com

We are having a site visit next month, and I want to have a great idea of what I should be asking when I arrive before my fiancé has a fit about the prices.  He is going to faint if I don't prepare him in advance...lol.  Thanks ladies!

Just sent it you to... Enjoy your site visit! You are going to love the Jellyfish and Mayte :)

Hey Ladies,

I was out of town for the past few days but am back. I did my best to e-mail everyone who asked for my "wedding outline" but just in case I missed anyone please message me. I really hopes it helps you wonderful brides because I know how hard it is to plan (seeing I got married at the Jellyfish last month with 70 guests) and since so many brides helped me during my time, I really want to be able to return the favour.

The Jellyfish is beautiful and Mayte is a borderline Goddess with how well she manages to orchestrate the most wondrous day's of our lives! Despite me being anally organized and a bit of a worry-wart I had all faith in her the entire way.... her work speaks for itself. My advice to all of you in the planning stages is to not worry about every tiny detail because when the day finally comes those tiny details are hardly noticed. Focus on the bigger ideas.

I created a planner for myself that is a bit detailed (as it's laid out in the order of events of a wedding) but allowed me to collect ideas over time and have things clearly laid out (including images) for Mayte. By doing this I did not have to email her more than twice over the entire planning stages because I was able do things in an organized fashion and allow myself time/space to collect questions as I went along. As my wedding date approached I sent Mayte one email with all of my questions.

I strongly recommend using some sort of planner to help you and to keep a running log of questions that you have, on the side. Use other brides to gather info first and you will find that by the time you are ready to send in your final outline, you will only have a few questions left for Mayte.

Have fun planning :)

Sincerely,

AR- DreamWedding

Did anyone send out information to their guests before they put down a deposit? I am really needing to send out information to guests about travel and dates but am worried because I haven't actually sent a deposit. I requested the bank info a week or so ago and haven't heard anything. It is hard trusting that my date is secure when there hasn't been any money exchanged.

As long as you have heard back from Mayte regarding your date, you can pretty much bank on it being booked. Once Mayte confirmed my date I started sending out info and there was never a change. Maybe just confirm your date once more to be sure but after that (deposit or not) you can totally go for it and send out info to your guests.

Thank you MissyBee,

I did as you suggested and made my deposit today.

Would any past bride that had fresh flowers be willing to share what the total cost was? I would like a lot of fresh flowers but based on the info Mayte sent me I have no idea what the cost might be.

Thanks ladies

Do either of you have the bank information? I have been waiting on it for 2 weeks and am really wanting to make my deposit.

Hi Everyone! I'm brand new here! (well not really, I've been stalking this site for the past 4 or 5 months).  I thought I was crazy to start planning my wedding for January 2015...but turns out I'm not, I contacted Mayte regarding my wedding I want to reserve the date for January 8, 2015 and she informed me to put a deposit as soon as I want that date reserved because January 2015 is already 75% reserved....wow she's in high demand! Anyhow, I figured it's time for me to join in the conversation, I am waiting to hear back from her regarding deposit/bank information and I will definitely be placing a deposit to reserve my date.  I'm so excited, and it's so far away!  Thank you everyone for your help so far :D Am I the only person planning a 2015 wedding around here? Please tell me I'm not as crazy as my fiance was thinking I was!?!?!
Nope your nit crazy at all!! -I've been planning my May 2015 wedding since May of this year!! Happy planning!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
