Just sent my deposit to book July 31, 2014! Waiting (anxiously) on confirmation.

A few questions...

-Prices to upgrade the ceremony chairs to chavari, or white wooden chairs? Some weddings posted on their blogspot have them.

-I read somewhere that we could get fireworks? It wasn't listed on the price sheet. Does anyone have info on that?

Random questions, but definitely things I'll probably want to start budgeting for. And I don't want to bother Mayte too much if y'all can answer my questions. :)

the white wooden chairs are $3.00 per chair to rent. I inquire about the fire works that go around the dance floors (volcan) and those are $50 for each.

chavari chairs are 5 dollars each, not sure about white wooden ones.

Do you ladies think it is tacky or ackward to use the same chairs for the ceremony and reception? I dont know how I feel about my guests seeing the jellyfish staff taking the chairs from ceremony site and then placing indoors but it kind of sucks to double the expense if I dont use the same chairs. Thoughts?

I have been going over the budget with my family, and was wondering if anyone knows the reason why AMEX is the only card that can be used without limit? My parents personally do not fill comfortable bringing 10,000 in cash with them and neither have an AMEX card. Did any one wire more funds after their initial deposit was confirmed? I am just trying to figure out what options we have. Thanks a bunch!

Hi cmingalone - The $1500 fee does include chairs but they are regular wicker chairs.  We went to visit Mayte in June.

They are very nice and Mayte can add a sash to them.

You can order other chairs but they are an additional fee.

Do you know what else the $1500 includes? I'm just a bit confused if it also includes the decor?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
