Hi ladies! My fiancé and I are confirmed at the Jellyfish for June 25th, 2013, though we havent't sent in a deposit yet. I've kinda fallen in love with the place since last June but we kept looking elsewhere. We almost settled on Roatan Island, Honduras but after speaking with our guests, we came back to the Jellyfish and we're hoping to stay at Dreams Palm Beach but it depends on cost. I've been conversing with Mayte for a while now and turn around time for emails has never been more than 2 weeks so be patient ladies, she really knows what she's doing. She really wants to give all her brides as much personal time as possible but there only 24 hours in a day and due to her high demand right now, she's just been completely swamped and she has a daughter as well so just trust her. She hasn't failed a single bride yet and I certainly don't expect her to start failing now. Happy Planning!

lol I think she made a typo, it's probably 2014. 

 

So I spoke to my fiance about having it on that Monday and he doesn't like the idea. I emailed Huracan cafe on Thursday and again last night to see if they have June 29 available. In the meantime, she sent me the bank info to put a deposit, but did not tell me how much the deposit was lol.  I feel so bad for how busy she is, she needs an assistant!

And the bank deposit, based on what she told me, is a minimum of $500 but you can deposit however much you want after that. I have also contacted Huracan Cafe several times and they take longer to get back to me than Mayte.

Ok ladies, I called Huracan Cafe today. Apparently, they are like fresh off the boat Italians and barely speak English. I got a different email address from them and sent them an email asking for pricing and availability. My fiance is very against a Monday wedding, so I'm going to see how much Huracan is and if they're available June 29. 

 

I know Katya recommended Huracan, but has anyone else heard anything about them? I would like to speak to a past bride or other brides who are planning it

I did a search a few days ago. Type in Huracan cafe , punta cana , Katya nova. Pics are great

Hi Ladies! I am planning on having a DW in October of 2014. I'm in the early stages of planning. I didn't really think to look into other restaurants around the area to have the ceremony and reception. I am planning on staying at NOW Larimar. Is it possible to have a ceremony & reception dinner for under $2,000 at the Jellyfish or Huracan Cafe? I plan on 15 people total including the bride and groom.       Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
