We did cocktail and dinner open bar, then 2 hours open bar of the cheapest option. After that we paid based on consumption. I was worried that the drinks would taste 'cheap' since they were not brands that I knew, but the drinks were great!

Hi Smithk79,

Can you share your experience? I've read many reviews that the Majestic Elegance food is not very good. Have you stayed at other resorts in punta cana that you could compare it to?

Also, what photographer did you use and how much was the resort fee?

Thank you so much!

I have never been to another DR all inusive but have been to a few on Mexico etc. The food was about the same as my other experiences. All iclusives are not known for their great food but overall we had no complaints from our group of 37. Some restaurants were better than others. We thought it was better than we expected for sure but we didn't have real high expectations. As for photothrapher, we used Caribbean Emotions who were great! We got ready at JF so we didn't have the vendor fees. Vendor fees went up since we were there (December 2012) but but was going to be either $100 or $300. Overall we all LOVED the majestic for a resort and JF for the wedding!

Hey MissyBee,

What was included in this price? Was it air and hotel? If so, for how many days?

Thank you!

Hello Ladies,

For those of you that had your dance floor set up outside; Did Mayte set up a bar outside or were your guests going back inside anytime they wanted a drink? Did the outside dance floor cause any separation between your guests or was the entire group ok with being outside?

Thank you

Has anyone set up a webcam or live feed for the ceremony, for family members at home who cannot attend? I know the internet connection down there isnt the best...curious if this is an option and what the cost is to rent one. I wonder if videographers provide this service? Im sure many DW's have important people who cant make the trip but would love to watch from home. My FIL is a farmer and May is an important time of year for his crop. Hiring a company/friend doesnt seem to be an option :( Looking for some creative ideas to include him as much as possible.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
