I stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe. The resort is right next to the Jellyfish, but also has huge grounds, so it can take 10 minutes to drive from the hotel to the restaurant. It only takes like 15 minutes to walk along the beach.

Nice!  That is actually the day before my Dad's bday and almost a week after my MIL's bday so I think it's a good day too :)

Anyway, we had the opportunity to visit Punta Cana and met with Mayte while there. She is very willing to work with your budget. She will tell you where you can get the most bang for your buck depending on your vision for your wedding and what is the first thing you might want to scrap if you are budget conscious.

Hi Blue,

How did you save your date with Mayte?  Did she reply to your email or did you just call the restaurant?  I emailed a while ago, but have not yet received a response.  I see your date is the day after the one i'm trying to obtain.  Please do let me know how your visit goes and if you receive a 2014 price listing.  I think i'm going to plan a trip soon with a friend because my fiancé is on travel often, and he might not be able to go.  If you receive add'l details or pricing that would be WONDERFUL if you could email that to me at jackieandlaury2013@gmail.com.  I hope i'm able to get the date because I think the venue is perfect.

Ok, so I have called the restaurant 4 times today, and I'm unable to get through.  The line rings then all I get is a busy signal crybaby2.gif.  I just want to get this date set.  I hope I am able to get through soon or she emails me soon.

Good luck everyone!

Hey Ladies,

Does anyone know if Mayte does the place cards (the little cards that tell everyone where they are sitting) or do we do them ourselves and she lays them out?

Looking at some of the photos from the Jellyfish website I noticed that some of the place cards were really fancy and I wasn't sure who did them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
