Hey Ladies! Does anyone know how much of a deposit you have to put down to secure your date? Or do you have to decide on all your choices (food, drinks, entertainment) then give a percentage of your total?

You can put down as much as you want, they don't require a specific amount or %. We put $1000 BC its was less money to bring with us.

That is what we are planning to do for our wedding in May 2014! How has the planning been going for you? We are doing a site inspection in June to put all the pieces together. Have you gotten rates from the Hard Rock yet? I'm a little nervous to see what it will be! As far as Jellyfish, have you selected a menu and decor with Mayte already? Please share details!
Have you been to the hard rock yet? I had a friend stay there and he said for the prices it wasn't all that great.

Mayte sent me her bank information I'm just a little confused on how to go about sending her a deposit. If you could let me know that would be great!

I am planning a site visit this June, so I will let you know my option when I get back. But from what I hear from most people, they love the HRH!

We are staying (I think) at the majestic elegance. We stayed there 4 years ago and loved it

On the theme of hotels, how have people gone about finding travel agents to help with the hotel bidding process? Is there some resource people have used to help with this process? Though we talked to a few hotels directly, we have realized that coordinating that portion of the wedding on our own would be way too tedious and difficult for us, so we are looking for someone to act as our middle man.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
