I have all reservations and am in the middle of Pre Cana courses to get married at Nuestra señora del pilar and reception at Jellyfish. I am freaking out! Please Mayte reply to my emails!!!

Try sending her an email again with "Urgent" as the subject line. I presume the priest will not let you reserve directly with the church?

I actually emailed Mayte over a week ago because I need the ceremony to be brought down by 30 minutes at the church, and since I haven't heard back I went ahead and emailed the priest directly. Not sure if he will say yes though. sad.gif

Yikes. I have been successful with having Mayte respond to very short e-mails... As in put your urgent question/concern in the subject line or only have one line in the e-mail. I think for your case, this might work.

Thank you! I just called tonight and Raluca (the lady that seems to always answer the restaurant line) told me Mayte wasn't feeling well. I wrote her an email regarding it be URGENT!

Turns out that I am in the same situation as you. I contacted the chruch coordinator to see if they could bring down the ceremony time, and she told me that my wedding was not on their agenda. She also told me that Mayte has to contact them directly.

I hope she answers soon! I hate not knowing if my ceremony is set or not.

When is your date? The priest told me Mayte has to reserve it. Did you already make travel arrangements and invites out like me? Also, the priest said they do weddings on Sunday! This is really giving me anxiety.

I had mine set for Thursday, November 28. I thought everything was set to go! As a matter of fact, the invitation company is shipping out the invites next week, and I already sent Save-the-Dates.

The church coordinator told me that either Mayte had to contact her, or she had to give me permission...the problem is I can't get a hold of her! I really hope they don't tell me they can't do it on a Thursday, because no one has mentioned anything to me yet, and I spoke to the priest and the church coordinator.

Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you know that Mayte finally replied to my initial inquiry email, that I sent out about two weeks ago, last night. She is definitely a sweetheart and I can't wait to start working with her! So if anyone has emailed her a week or two ago, I'm sure she will reply to you soon. Good luck and happy planning everyone!

Thanks!!!

Which day were you requesting? If I understand correctly, Jellyfish only has one wedding per day, right? Did you decide which drink and food choices you wanted to go with yet?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
