Hi everyone, I just want to say thank you for all this great information, it's been very helpful to read all your experiences and advise. We will be getting married May 2013 at Jellyfish. My only worries are the deposit (Will Mayte let me know what she wants this?) and how/when should I send her the list of things that I want? I sent her pictures of a wedding she did and told her that it's exactly what I want. hope that helps. I'm nerves not being able to see the place until the week of- yikes. It looks beautiful though :)

Hi everyone. Thank you for all the information you have provided on this forum, its very helpful. My fiance and I will be getting married May 2013 at Jellyfish, and have been working with Mayte. My only concerns (and maybe you can help me) is that I don;t know how/when I should send her all of what we want???? Also, I sent he pictures of what we want for reception decor, but haven't heard back. How did you guys send your info as for decor and how you wanted your wedding to look like and flow. HELP. Oh, and deposit. How close to the date does she want deposit?

Hi and congrats! One thing I have learned is to be patient, from what i understand, she focuses on those weddings that are closer and since ur wedding is not until May she may take longer to respond?? I am getting married there this December and still am waiting for confirmation that she received our deposit, have not even discussed decorations, etc. :-) She seems to have a wedding almost every day and nothing but great feedback! For the deposit, we sent ours last week but she said to send whatever amount, whenever so it seems to be flexible!

What list are you referring to?  The price list?  If that is what you mean, I just took the things off of that list that we were interested in and asked for a current price quote (the list is from 2009).  I still have not received the complete quote for our wedding (she emailed me today, said she is working on it) so I am just waiting :-)

Congrats! I'm also getting married May of next year. :)

 

We put down our deposit after Mayte confirmed our date was free. We sent $500 since we didn't have a quote done up at the time. I sent her pictures of what we wanted for decor in a Word doc. And it'll take a while to hear back from her, she's a busy lady.

Cinnagirl, Congrats!!! Looks like we will both be a Mrs. May 2013.

Thank you for the information. I have also sent her information as to what I want (ex: pictures of decor, bridal bouquet, bridesmaids flowers, etc.) and she has been really good about replying- some days better than others. As for the deposit, I think its a great idea to send her something just to secure the date more; I think I will be doing the same. 

 

There are so many questions and little things to take care of, but it looks like she does a great job.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
