I'm not doing exclusive...I heard that if people go to the restaurant they are escorted upstairs and out of the way...I also thought I read somewhere that there really aren't that many people that go that are not part of the wedding so it's really not an issue. Personally, I'd rather save the 1k and use it elsewhere...

We are doing it.  I think it will be nice just to have only us there, makes it feel more special to our guests too...

I decided not to do private.  I was all for it until I started adding everything up ... then I changed my mind.  I really can't spare the extra 1000 but I heard the same thing Venus did so I'm ok with maybe 10-20 people being upstairs (it's better than hundreds at the resort!) and honestly I don't think after a few drinks, I'll even notice.

One of my fiances good friends is a florist and owns his own shop...for our friends wedding he made up the bouquets and boutonnieres and our friends brought them with them...I honestly thought they were real!!!! My fiance was a groomsmen so I spent alot of time with him while he was wearing his boutonnier and I was dancing with him and everything and had no idea they were fake till later on in the night..the next day the maid was cleaning the brides room and she put the flowers in water thinking they were real lol..Im still torn whether to go real or not because I love flowers but really, they overcharge HUUUUGE in the Dominican and our friends literally saved over $500 using the real touch flowers...thats alot of money that can be put towards something else..especially when noone noticed they were fake until they told us!

My flowers were real touch - everyone that looks at my pictures is shocked about it, and yes, we saved a lot of money. I found out that in the Dominican they have to import all their flowers from Colombia or Holland so that's why it's so expensive...

I sooo wish I put thought about the flowers earlier.  But by the time I started looking into the real touch flowers from the well known vendors the ship dates on them where way past the time I needed them by

Can anyone tell me how payment works? for instance, can we use a visa card and make multiple transactions to pay at the end of the night? (since mayte informed me they can only do $1000 per transactions for visa cards). just curious.

Has anyone heard from Mayte?  I've sent her a few emails with a bunch of questions over the last 2 or 3 weeks and haven't heard from her.  I have about 8 questions outstanding and I'm getting anxious for answers.

 

I know she's busy, but I know I can't be the only one waiting for information.
