Open bar really is worth it though...they really know how to put on an amazing party! We were at a wedding with open bar for about 4 hours and the whole night seemed to go by like a dream....best wedding I've ever been to! The food is also amazing!

I just spoke with my fiance about it and I think we'll stick to the two hours open bar since that's when people are going to drink the most anyhow, and then go per drink for the rest of the night.

Are you having welcome drinks as well? Is that included in the cocktail hour price or is that a separate item all together?

Darcy from what I can remember they just have 1 main swim up bar but its big...and they have a couple other bars around the pool that arent swim up....

We are booked in for January 13th 2013!! yay!! I'm still a little concerned about the pricing of the bar bc that is what seems to be blowing the budget...does anybody know how much they charge per drink? I'm wondering if it would be cheaper to go that route bc most of our family are not big drinkers at all...our friends however drink more then most people haha..I still think it might end up better to do a tab...does anyone know what they charge for kids for dinner/non alcoholic drinks? Thanks ladies! So excited!!

I'm on the fence about open bar vs tab as well... but FI is stuck on open bar.. he feels our friends will defintiely out drink the cost of the open bar.. so we will either go with that or the beer/wine signature drink option... I'm still waiting to hear from Mayte on the price difference.

From what I understand there dinner is $15 per kid and no additional charge for drinks for kids....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
