I heard from my Mayte on 4/1. I know how busy she is so I was surprised I heard back from her the same day I emailed her. I sent her an inspiration power point and now I'm just waiting for my invoice. I would just email her again, I'm sure everything is fine.

I heard from her this morning. We sent a deposit about 2 months ago. Because we are living abroad, we had to do it all online and it was very confusing. In February, Mayte said she received a few deposits around the same time for the same amount as ours ($500) and she was sure one of them was ours, don't worry. 

 

I  never heard anything else about it, so I emailed her again yesterday just to make sure.... and today I heard from her and she says her boss can't find it! Now I'm freaking out.. the money is definitely no longer in our account as of 2 months ago, so what happened to it? 

 

I asked her to check a few days after the day we made the transfer, as sometimes it can take a few days to enter a new account, but now I'm stressed. :( That's A LOT of money to lose if it's just floating somewhere....

Yikes, that's awful!! :( That's just the sort of thing I'm worried about. Ours was for the $500 too but it was in March.

 

Did you send the money by email transfer? Because usually you'll get a confirmation for that saying that such and such email address accepted your money. I really hope you guys can figure out what's going on soon! I'm thinking good thoughts for you.

It was a bank-to-bank online banking transfer. We have a confirmation code and called our bank at the time. It seemed like everything was a go..., but the whole process was very confusing. It took us a while to figure out how to do it, and 2 calls for help to the bank. It's definitely not the first time we've ever transferred money.. in fact, living abroad and having foreign accounts, we transfer money all the time, but this one was just confusing. 

 

I'm very anxiously awaiting confirmation. :( I'm hoping this time there won't be the usual 2-3 week e-mail delay.

We deposited $500 into her account on Feb. 29, and she sent me some sort of confirmation (although the language barrier makes it difficult to see what that confirmation actually says...).

 

What day did you make your deposit?

I'm still waiting on my quote as well.  She told me the same actually, that I'd have it end of week (last week).  Last email was that she was still waiting on the flowers.  I'm sure she's working on it - just tends to take her longer than i think we all are used to.  I'm pretty sure the poor thing does this all herself  so I'll see what next week brings...

First off, I wanted to say HI to all of you! I just finished reading thru all 92 pages of this thread.  I've been on the forum for quite a while but am new to the tread and LOVE it!  So much great information.  Thank you all!  I'm very excited to get to share such a fun experience with all of you amazing ladies.  Also I just wanted to add my date to the list :)

I too want to say hello to all of my fellow Jellyfish brides, and I too just finished reading thru all 92 pages of this thread... practically took me all day, but so worth it!! I've been on this site a little bit, but haven't really dove into it until now. The information is a LIFE SAVER so thank you to everyone who helps answer all the questions floating around! My date is actually only 2 1/2 months away,JUNE 22nd 2012, so you could say I'm a bit of a procrastinator! LOL But now I'm deep into planning! I've got all the BIG things squared away, now just down the the little details:)

Welcome!  I can't wait to hear the planning stages of all the small details :)  I'm getting married the week after you and am starting to figure out all the details too...  I have too many ideas and just need to narrow them down.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
