Jellyfish Restaurant

Recommended Posts

It didn't take that long for the food to come out, and it all came out at the same time ~ which was really nice. They served our head table first and then our remaining guests. I think we had at least 4-5 waiters taking orders, serving the food, topping up the wine. All-in-all the service was fantastic. I'm not sure if Mayte has a maximum count for the a la carte menu option, but I'm sure she'll let you know. :)

I also am now thinking about changing to the ala carte meal option.

We have 40 guests coming, so I'm not sure if Mayte will let us or not. Did it take a long time for the food to get ordered and come out?

Oh and happy holidays to everyone! Looking forward to 2012!

Thanks Mel,

It's always so helpful to get all these details from those of you who have had the first hand experience. I don't know what I would do without you all.

Mel, did you pick the wine for dinner or did they just serve a house wine? Anyone know if we can order special wine through Mayte? I can ask her if not.

Thanks again and happy holidays to you all.

Do you still have the email with the activities? Also, did you have a welcome dinner in the buffet or another restaurant?

I actually have been in contact with Argenis Guzman Castillo (Email: prelegance@majestic-resorts.com) He is the guest service manager at the ME, I confirmed with him a reservation for our welcome dinner at the buffet area, I read somewhere that they have semi private areas for this there.  I actually got his email address from Jordi who works at ME (He replies to emails on the Majestic FB group).  He said its confirmed but I am also going to see him at the guest service office when I get there to make sure.  Also, he emailed me the activities program, BBQ on the beach is on Wednesdays and Mondays (weather permitting).

Sandra had told me that the activities can change so to get in touch with them closer to the date that we are going.  I want to include this in our welcome books, so it kinda sucks, but I understand it.  If anyone is looking for the restaurants and hours that they operate, you can get them on the Majestic website.

Hi ladies, Quick question for those of you who have been to the Jellyfish... is there security there? One of my silly guests has expressed concern about going 'outside of the resort' which is ridiculous considering the restaurant is in between resorts, but I thought I'd ask.

Thanks!

Yes, there are police that patrol the beach on a dirt bike. We actually have a photograph of us kissing while the police are driving by - totally priceless!!! JF also have there staff to watch over the restaurant during your wedding night. You are in good hands, trust me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
