Jellyfish Restaurant

If you are getting married at the jellyfish I know that there was another bride on here that maytee put down a hard walkway for the aisle, almost like a mini platform! it looked nice as is but you could also out a runner down in a color of your choice or flower petals.. Just send her a message!

Anyone hear from Mayte in the last week? Just curious.. she usually replies quickly but I haven't heard back in over a week. Thanks!

Also, anyone who already had their wedding at the Jellyfish, maybe you can answer this question - I have the bus booked but I'm fairly certain my guests will be partying until the wee hours... I'm curious if some guests want to go back earlier than others ,if there is any accomodation for that? Did anyone encounter this at all? We have some familiess with young children going and I'm worried that they will want to head back to the resort earlier than the rest... Thank you!

Hey Ladies,

We are back!!! And all I can say is that we had the most amazing time at Dreams Palm Beach Resort & Spa, and an incredible wedding at the Jellyfish restaurant. Throughout the week, I saw over 8 different weddings going on at the Dreams resort - and all I can say is IT'S NOT PRIVATE!! One wedding (setup up on the beach) was absolutely beautiful until we could hear the entire ceremony including vows across the entire beach. I was a little shock that the speakers were so loud! All this to say that planning our ceremony & wedding reception at the JF was the way to go. The ceremony and reception is completely private. The servers are excellent and the food is to die for . . . I had the lobster - and it was AMAZING!! I will write a review soon, still unpacking our suitcases! All I can say is, Mayte is amazing and goes the extra mile to make your day special!

Here are a few pictures to share with you ladies - photographer was Michael Weiler (Caribbean Emotions) < another great choice!

On our wedding day, it was pourring rain, and then for at least 1 hour the rain stopped, so we had our ceremony outside despite crazy winds! Right after our ceremony and pictures, it started to rain again and never stopped all night! So I think we were blessed to have no rain for our ceremony, and the pictures turned out great despite no sun.

Like I said, there is so much to say - so for now, I hope you enjoyed these teaser photos until I write my review!

Ciao,

Melissa

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
