Jellyfish Restaurant

Recommended Posts

We are planning on doing a cocktail hour meet and greet for our group the day we get there as well as a group "rehearsal dinner" (minus the rehearsal) the night before the wedding at the ME - we will arrange this with ME a couple of weeks prior to our wedding.  We are also planning on using Mayte's DJ - based on price and our group is only 23 ppl, but I still wanted to have the nice dance element for the reception.  I'm sure it will be fine and I'll try to report back.  I am planning to go down with 2 lists of songs that I'd like played for both the cocktail hour/dinner and dancing later in the evening (so he really can't screw that up)!

We are doing the same as you (staying at ME and wedding a Jellyfish) so I am excited to see what was great, good, bad or horrible (hopefully no bad or horrible!) Are you doing either a welcome cocktail hour or dinner a ME?? What DJ are you using? We are going to use the Jellfish DJ but have not seen any reviews on it...

our wedding is Feb.3! it is all going to come up so quick!

Hello everyone!

I am wondering what everyone is planning on tipping Mayte? I know it is a personal choice on an amount but a % that everyone is thinking would give me a ballpark. We have a pretty large wedding party (close to 70) so I have to budget this ahead of time and am just curious what all the other brides are thinking. I think I read a couple strands on here about it, but her the life of me I can't find it. Thanks!!

Jlarruda - we totally might run into eachother! - don't be affraid to say "HI" if you see me.  I feel like we are all going through this planning thing together.  I can't beleive how close we are to the wedding!  Your wedding is in 53 days, Mine is in 55 . . . I'm totally counting down!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
