Jellyfish Restaurant

Mayte's replies are on and off; she's insanely busy and organizes all the weddings at the restaurant. Her most recent email to me mentioned a really big wedding coming up. As hard as it is, try not to worry too much. She'll get back to you eventually :)

Took her about 2-3 weeks to get back with me on the availability.  So just keep on waiting...lol!  She will respond!  :)

Mayte also posted on the FB page that she would never double-book two weddings in one day!! Here's the message she posted:

"

Hi all brides!
Many brides tell me, someone wrote on her wedding day, there were two more weddings in Jellyfish. That's not true!
We've never done two weddings at the same time, if it is true that sometimes I can do magic, but never witchcraft. I love perfect job
I write this publicly and not worry the wedding day I completely surrendered to the bride.

Again, a bride one day"

It is hard! But stay on it. I lost my date because I figured Mayte was covering it and now I'm back to square one. Keep harassing her!!!

I am one of those brides and I lost out. Though Mayte had sent me all the information, she hadn't sent me the official confirmation. With my alert the other bride called and left a deposit which Mayte notified me of. There is only, ever ONE wedding at Jellyfish. Which is how it should be.

I'm currently reserving the Kukua for my reception instead which is nice since they have a pool on the property which is something I quite like - so it's cool. All you Jellyfishers have a wonderful wedding reception!!!

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your date vav... but I must say I just checked out the Kukua Beach Club's website and that place and the pool look pretty amazing!  I'm sure everything will work out great.

I'm starting to think I better send a deposit in to the Jellyfish and not just take the word that my date is saved... I know many people have had luck with not sending in a deposit and just paying everything in full the day of, but now I'm nervous.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
