I also want to bring my own set to use for the sand cermony, but I think charging $50 is ridiculous! All they have to do is place the containers on the table...it's crazy. If they want to try and push you to buy theirs, then they should at least offer a variety of vases to use so brides can pick one that fits their style.

When you say that it included the videographer, was that for the service only? Or does that also include the actual video as well?

They made us pay $100!!! I was almost 100% sure they told us it would be $50 if we brought our own to set up but they charged us $100. When we questioned, they said the fee was $100 regardless. I didn't have anything in writing though saying they would only charge us $50.

Get everything in writing on what they will charge you...

I agree with Kelly! I would email the WC and ask her via email to respond, then you can print that out & take it with you. Also, I would try to bargain wiht them a bit. I was not going to do a private reception because we wanted hot/cold hor'dourvs so I went back & forth with them, argued about paying an additional $50/pp and eventually they gave us the hot/cold hor'dorvs and private reception for a total of $50/pp (we had already paid $25/pp for the cocktail hr).

Yea, I def think we will want the video - and will probably just add it on when we get down there like you said Tucks because I really don't want to upgrade to any of the MS themes. I'm sure the video captures a lot of little things that you don't see (or hear) in the pics.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
