For our first meeting, i created a list of questions for her and emailed it to her a week before our phone meeting. Of course, day of the meeting, she told me she didn't get a chance to review the questions and notes. That's ok, because i sat on the phone with her for almost an hour and went through every single detail. After the conversation, she emailed me back my notes with her responses and that was great as i had everything documented. My advice would be to keep following-up with her and be patient.

Also, i didn't find her pushy at all but maybe i knew what i wanted so she didn't really have to "sell" me on anything. She gave me the cost and i went back to do my own cost analysis and then made a decision.

Hope this helps!

Hey Winnie,

I am getting married at Beaches T&C on May 20, when is your big day? I can't believe it is only 40 days away.......

How has your planning coming along?

Hi everyone! I have been "lurking" on this forum awhile but just got engaged, so now I no longer feel like a fraud! We have had our sights set on Beaches T&C, just waiting to hear back from a TA and then I can 'dig' my heels into the planning process!

Cheers!

Hi Ladies, I am not getting married at Beaches but I am getting married in T&C. Was wondering what options were offered to you ladies in terms of music/djs/entertainment. I am looking for alternatives to what my resort recommends. Anyone book their dj yet and if so do you mind sharing the price and name of the dj. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

We just returned from our DW yesterday and had our wedding at Beaches resort last thursday! Everything was absolutely amazing.... I will try to write a review this week - back to work today sad.gif

We went with the private dinner reception for $60 per person (because we had 10 rooms or more booked $75 minus the $15 discount) and it was the best $60 per person i've ever spent. They set-up a private area for my guests (we had 24 people in our wedding group) and while our wedding party was offsite taking pics, our guests were able to eat and drink in the private area. Our guests also told us that the hors d'oeuvres that were served were amazing.... they had leftovers and we got to try some of it after we got back from taking pictures offsite. More food is better than no food! I'm happy everyone was impressed with the food. Our dinner we had a choice of two items (Beef and Mahi Mahi), again the food was amazing. The food were from Sapodilla's and the chef there was A+++

We went with the Vision in White theme and i am so glad we did because it included the videographer, 12 5x7 pics, an upgraded bouquet, and the set-up was beautiful. I think the arch on the beach saved me from melting in the sun even though our ceremony was at 4pm.... LOLOLOL!

Overall, we are soooooo happy that we went with a DW.

Hey Winnie!

Glad your DW was exactly what you and wanted, and maybe a lil better :)

May 20 is fast approaching and I am a getting nervous. I only did a quick cocktail hour but did get a calaypso band for some added fun! There are only 11 of us in total. I have heard 2 different answers on wether or not I can make reservation later at one of the resteraunts for all of us to have dinner together since my ceremony will be at 12 noon, can anyone lead me in the right direction.......

I am hoping to sort out some pictures this weekend and will post it with my review...

Julie - i would do the wedding over and over again.... LOL! We were really happy that we did the private reception dinner. The food quality was excellent!!!

Scilla - your wedding coordinator onsite should be able to make reservations for you at one of the restaurants since there's only 11 of you. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
