My new weight loss plan

My sister did Nutri System quite a few years ago and lost 70 lbs on it BUT the problem is the minute she went back to eating normal food, she gained it back and more, she has since gone onto WW and lost 75 since June 2006, and she says its a lifestyle, although Nutrisystem was easier to open a pack, there are lots of preservatives and you can't live on it forever~

Good luck with whatever you choose...

So today has been exactly one week on Nutrisystem. I only exercised 3 times this week for 30 minutes each. But I lost a total of 4 pounds. I guess that's not too bad.

I did however cancel my Nutrisystem subscription. I'm going to finish up the month of food they sent me and then go back to WW. The NS food is good, I just don't like all the preservatives. I think I just want to have fresher foods in my diet.

I think that is a good decision. All those preservatives can not be good for you and I would worry about your long term health on that diet.

WW is much better for you because you get to pick your own foods and they encourage you to eat fruits and veggies.

  • 3 weeks later...

Ok, so after exactly 4 weeks, I've lost 8 pounds. I have to admit though - I haven't worked out since the first week and I don't stick to it on the weekends. So, with that said, I guess 8 pounds isn't too bad.

I'm going to start WW again beginning tomorrow. I've always done well on WW, it's easy to stick to since it's regular food. Now, if I can just get my butt on the treadmill, I would be all set.

It's been about 2 weeks since I stopped Nutrisystem and I haven't lost one pound. I managed to keep off the 8 pounds I originlly lost, but I haven't lost anything additional. My plan was to go back to WW - but as you can see, that didn't go very well.

Well, it turns out my sister, who did Nutrisystem for about a year, has now stopped in order to do WW Core. She had soooo many Nutrisystem meals left over (about a month's worth) that she gave them all to me last night. So, I'm going to go back to Nutrisystem for another month and just use up what she gave me. Hopefully this will work and put me back on track.

Plus, I REALLY need to get my butt on the treadmill. Aaahhhh!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
