Anyway, I weighed myself this morning and I was down 2 pounds already. I know this is only water weight, but it's still motivating. So because I was so motivated, I did 30 minutes on my treadmill. Then I made the Nutrisystem pancakes for breakfast with a banana on the side. SOOOO GOOD!!!! I actually got 3 pancakes out of the mix. And they were very good. Brendan was so surprised at how good they looked, that I think he's thinking of joining too.
YAY!! that's awesome, when you see that scale move it is good motivation!! Good Luck Jen!! pinkie.gif

Yeah, but I'm HUNGRY!!!! I'm also a tad bit weirded out that ALL the food is pantry food. (Some foods really should be refrigerated.) I may go back to WW next month. I think I can suck it up and cook a little, knowing that I'll get fresher, healthier food in my diet. But I'm definitely glad I tried it.

Jenny Craig is another option. I may make an appointment with them just to check it out. From what I hear, their food is at least frozen. And you go to a meeting each week to discuss your particular weight loss with a counselor who then gives you the food you need for the week. One week's worth of food at a time seems more managable.

Jen, I have a lady I work with who had the same issue...the food was all astronaut food and didn't have to be refrigerated and it freaked her out! Plus, her familiy wouldn't let her microwave it while they were at the house because it smelled so bad (think they said dog food?!).

She went back to Jenny Craig and loved it...guess she had done JC before and really really liked their food, so it's probably a nice transition.

But I'm so glad you're trying new things and keep up the good work! Keep us updated!

You know, the food isn't bad at all. And it actually smells good (although I seem to make everything explode in my microwave and then I spend 10 minutes cleaning the damn thing everything I heat something up.) I think I'm just surprised at how "processed" everything is. I also had a big problem with my cholesterol last year and I managed it get it under control just with diet and exercise. I can't help but think I've just undone all my hard work.

Anyway, I have lost 3.5 pounds in 5 days. I'm going to stick with it for the month and then I'm going to look into Jenny Craig or maybe go back to WW.

Thanks for the support Ladies. I know the first couple of days are the worse (while your stomach shrinks.) Hopefully it'll get better from here.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
