We are using lucky by jason mraz for my walk down the aisle and i'm yours by jason mraz for the recessional. Not sure if we are going to need music for the signing of the license but if so we are going to use signed sealed delivered by stevie wonder and spend my life with you by eric benet and tamia for our first dance song. We still have a lot of time so things may change but for now this is it. =)

Soooo glad I found this thread! Love so many of the ideas!

We are gonna use I'm yours by Jason Mraz too...I am stumped on a processional though, maybe just the traditional, but my 3 year old daughter will be spreading flower petals down the aisle so maybe something more fun for her. Both my girls are not able to make it to my wedding anymore so she is it. I was thinking Right Here (Departed) is fun, but Somewhere over the Rainbow she knows...

Our first dance is to Your Love is My Love by Whitney Houston...FI picked it and I was shocked and I really like it. My Dad is a big Led Zepplin fan so I have chosen Thank You for our dance....

Now to finish the music for through dinner and then for after the mariachi plays...I wish we could have them all night!!!

Thanks to Becky, a bride I photographed at Excellence Playa Mujeres, for requesting this song on her slideshow of images.

I think this is an awesome beach wedding song.  But it might fit better as a first dance or something.  Or maybe just a song to use in a photo slideshow of the wedding.

Artist:  Prince Royce

title:  Stand by Me.

listen here:http://youtu.be/mnmvh7akbWo

It also has some Spanish in it, which I think is great for a Mexico wedding.

Enjoy!

Sooooo glad I read this forum! I'm Dominican, my DW is in DR, and I've been looking for some typical Dominicam music to play at the reception that won't scare off the gringos (including my FI) who mostly make up our guest list. Prince Royce's version of Stand By Me is in bachata a very popular style of dance that originated in DR, and the bonus is the song is very recognizable to Americans. I just might've found the perfect father daughter dance! (I think it'd be VERY awkward to dance a regular slow song with my dad who doesn't even speak English lol). Woo-Hoo!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
