Hey Ladies,

If any of you are looking to tone up or slim down fast, HOT YOGA is the way to go. It is best to start with an hour session as it is a shock to your body, but it is a major addiction! It is also the only thing that keeps me centered, and i have never done yoga before this. I was a competitive Gymnast so i do not like slow paced things. However hot yoga is just so intense and i love it. I can't say enough about it. You just have to try it and you will understand my Obsession!

The two most popular Hot Yoga studios are...

Moksha Yoga - Moksha Yoga : Welcome

Bikram Yoga - Bikram's Yoga College of India

that seems really interesting! silly question but does the room end up smelling bad? is it a dry heat or something like a sauna? i loved my yoga class but stopped going because the instructor always expected us to do hand stands and it was really uncomfortable for us newbies!

The studios are very clean from my experiences. They are hardwood floors and they mop the floor between each class. You have your mat with a towel on it (to catch your sweat and prevent slipping). The rooms are pretty hot and humidity is high but if you are patient and listen to your body you will enjoy the class. As for the smell, i don't find it to smell bad. It is 80 % women so that helps wink.gif. My Fiance joins me in the classes (he is a professional athlete and he has amazing results from it) and he sometimes smells bad hahahah, but i love him so it is alright!

I also love it. I'm going tomorrow morning too! There's a thread about Bikram yoga in this section of the board too you can check out. I agree it's a great work out (and I felt I was in pretty good shape from going to the gym 5-6 days per week) and a great way to lose weight. I live in Michigan and there is a Bikram studio in about every other town so I'm sure you'll be able to find one near where you live. Good luck and have fun!

I love Bikram! I used to live in San Francisco where competition brought prices down, it was like $50 a month unlimited, now I am in the burbs and each class is $12....ouch...really adds up.

And yes it does get stinky sometimes! lol...but you won't care when you feel oh-so-good. Next step, convince the boy to come along with me...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
