Who does the cooking??

Tom wouldn't know how to cook a noodle to save his life. Before we met, he would eat out for every single meal. He still likes to ... but I LOVE to cook, so I have to BEG him to let me keep him home for dinner at least once a week. Otherwise, we will usually eat out ... but I make sure he pays. lol...

So, I make food and bring it in to the office for everyone a lot instead. Helps with job security too that all the managers love my cooking!!!

i despise cooking...but i do it...i'm not creative enough, and have a tendency to cook the same few thing over and over...keith likes to cook, so if he's home early enough (quite rare), he'll cook...he despises cleaning, and i don't mind it, so it works out well. we do, however, eat out 2-3x/week...we don't believe in cooking on the weekends wink.gif

(i bumped this b/c he's currently in the kitchen, complaining about the 3 dishes in the sink that he has to wash, and whining about how gross the kitchen is - there's mail on the counter.. - and every time his ADD kicks in, he leaves the water running and goes upstairs for something...)

I do all the cooking through the week for me and the kids, Everton works late. Everton usually comes home and cooks up his Jamaican food, he makes a mean jerk, I don't cook Jamaican. On the weekends E cooks,we usually barbq, but if company comes we both cook we make a good team. I usually clean up, Everton is the messiest cook, it drives me batty, I clean as I go he doesn't. When he is done he usually has used every pot, pan, frypan, and bowl.

I have to admit I hate day to day cooking, it is so boring, but I love throwing dinner parties and cooking for my friends.

When Brendan cooks, I swear he does the same thing. I think he uses every spoon in the house. Drives me NUTS!!!!

I'd have to say I'm a lot like Tammy and Tami. I cook, Mike usually does the dishes. I love how he tells random people that I'm a great cook. I think that's such a nice compliment.

BUT, anyone else have this problem...his mom tries to "one up" me! She'll have a gathering at their house and I'll offer to bring a dish...she'll say she's got it covered. Then she'll totally go overboard with the food. Funny thing is Mike said she hardly ever cooked for them growing up and if she did it wasn't all that good (like she wouldn't season the meat for tacos, etc). Apparently she got better! She's a sweet lady though and I love her to pieces. :)

I HAAAATE cooking. And usually I can get enough sympathy that Brian will cook, but we also do a lot of takeout and frozen dinners (how horrible!!). He loves when I cook though, because I am a good cook (tooting own horn), I just hate to do it.

Our poor children are going to be eating at their friend's houses a lot!!

kash, i really hate to clean also...i dont know why...i like to vacuum and do the laundry but not clean. i think i have an aversion to sponges because no matter how often you change them, they smell funny.

luckily, steve'es nickname from his friends is "sanitary steve" so i let him clean...and our housecleaner do the yucky stuff like showers, toilets, floors....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
