Vendor review!

Hi,

I have not had my wedding yet but I went to Cabo in December to meet with some vendors.

After meeting with a couple of different photographers I have decided to use Gabriel Garcia, who was fantastic so professional he even took some photos of my mother and I for free and emailed them to me the next day, they were great my Mother never likes photo's of herself and she was very happy with Gabriel's shots. Gabriel is also including a videographer for me in his price.

For my florist I chose Claudia from Floreria Rayen, I met with her and her husband and out of the 3 florist I met I liked them the best they had the most fair prices and they seemed to understand exactly what I wanted, they had lots of pictures of their work to show me.

For my D.j i tink I am going to use Ricardo Patino i did not meet him but have been in contact with him thru email and have found him to be very professional, he always responds very quickly.

Now all that is left is to secure a venue and find a hair and make up artist!

I am thinking of renting a Villas does anyone have any advice on a particular villa or villa compnay?

We looked into trying the villa wedding and reception, but in the end just could not justify the price. Many of the villas have an event fee and a minimum rental period of 4 nights. I think villa weddings are absolutely gorgeous if you can do it though! Check out cabovillas.com, and loscabosweddingvendors.com. The most affordable rates are at vrbo.com. I was even able to find a few of the villas from cabovillas.com on vrbo for 1/3 of the price of cabovillas. I am attaching a booklet from a vendor that rents the villas and also coordinates food, rentals, etc. Towards the end it shows the villas and the max capacity they have for events. Hopefully this will give you some ideas. Let me know if you need anything else, we did quite a bit of research on villas before deciding on Cabo del Sol.

Good Luck!

Donielle

We were really hoping for a villa wedding, but like Donielle mentioned, it was hard to work it in the budget. To find a villa that would accommodate us and hold our wedding was proving to be impossible! With the help of our coordinator we decided on Fiesta Americana, its much more in our budget...good luck. We've also used the site Cabo Villas...they have some beautiful homes!

Great choice of vendors!! I loved Claudia's work! About the villas, I quoted this catering company once that recommended me a villa, the guy name was Jorge and Miguel, who also owns the Meson del Angel restaurant in Cabo http://www.loscabosguide.com/mesondelangel/

The do lots of events in villas so I think they can help you with this.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
