Tai, Grandegarden, Floral, Jans Price Quote

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone... So I thought it would be really helpful to send out the quotes that I recieved from the four different places.

(I'm getting married at ROR.)

First, after reading this site I discovered real touch flowers and I thought it was a great idea to go with something that will last forever for the bouqets. So, I ordered my bridal bouqet, 2 bridesmaids bouqet, 1 maid of honor bouqet, 3 bouts for the groomsmen, 4 corsages for the mothers/grandmothers, and 3 hair flowers. They were all made out of plumerias, stargazerlillies, and orchids. Cant wait to show you all the actual results. Cost was around $450.00.

Now I also wanted to have some decorations for the ceremony site, we're getting married at the beach front gazebo. These were the quotes I recieved.

The bridesmaid bouquet using a small bouquet of mixed white flowers such as white roses with white dendrobium orchids this will cost $ 40.00

For the gazebo you can have small archway pieces for $50.00 each going up and pedestal arrangements from $ 150.00 going up. Please note you'll have to add 17.5% sales and $50.00 for delivery to Ocho Rios.

I really liked Jan's the best. They were the most organized and quickest to respond... not to mention cheapest :)

So I decided to go with Jan... minus the aisle marker arrangements taking me to $310 and then were just going to bring down chair sashes and a little extra stuff decorating the signing table, etc

Jan sounds like the best offer. Did you get a referral for Jan from the forum? May I ask who did you work with for your "real touch" flowers?

I'm planning to bring my own bouquet to Sandals Grande Ocho Rios. I still need corsages for the mothers, a boutinniere for my dad, and flower petals for the aisle. My TA informed me this evening that the corsages would be $45 each and my dad's boutinniere is priced at $35. Additionally, we're bringing our own chair sashes, fans and programs, and doing a sand ceremony. To set all of this up would be a charge of $300!!!!! Come on now! That's just ridiculous!!

I wonder if I should contact Jans. Do you think she'd do the corsages and boutinniere for less than what the resort is quoting? How does the delivery of these items work? Would she be allowed on site to bring them?

Thanks this is helpful. I personally like Jans the most because right after I emailed her she gave me a call and wanted to discuss what I was interested in which made me confortable with her. I will use her for my decor but I think that I'm using parasols and fans to save money and to be different.

Geez that is alot! The quote jan gave me four bouts were $10 so I can't imagine the corsages would be much more expensive. I don't know the rules about Sandals and outside vendors, but back when I was booked at beaches I know they were kind of giving me a hard time. If they do allow outside vendors I would def recommend Jans because that is seriously a lot of money to spend when you could get it for less than half the price.

Thanks so much for providing us with this information! it's so helpfu. You actually saved me a bunch of time. I had already contacted Jan's and liked the prices she quoted me. I'm not even going to bother with the others because you've already done the work and I think I'll stick with Jan's. Thank you for that!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
