day passes..

Recommended Posts

I just dont understand why some people have to be dificult! I understand that this is their vacation as well, but I am sure a lot of research was done by you ladies when you picked out the hotel and I dont think people relize this.

There are very good reason why hotels are picked. I know that I considered food, expenses, proxy to other towns, amentities, services, and spent probably 50 hours reading reviews. I feel as tho I could start advertising for this hotel I am so fimilar with it by this point =)

I just want to tell people...that just because the resort has a cheaper per night price, it doesnt mean the resort is cheaper! Value can be measured on a lot more levels then straight upfront cost.

Plus come on....lets just play nicely and book with your family! Make the brides life a little easier.

I am kinda to the point of just telling a few people the location of the hotel, the time of the ceromny and see you their if your interested!

Rant Over! lol mmmmm that felt good.

Oh to answer the question? Its a hard call. I dunno...My first take would be they pay for it. Unless they have a real good reason, like a Grandma having to stay at a differnt resort cuz its smaller and easier to move around at. Then I would pay for it of course.

Amen to that! Well said! It's too bad you can't really tell some of your family members exactly that. Like, HELLO! I did all this research for you!

My travel agent mentioned to us that our resort is a very popular resort, rated one of the best consistently over the past several years and because of this, does not tend to have these "sell off sales" that some resorts have, and it tends to book quickly. I actually put that on my website and I mentioned it to a few members of my fiancé's family who we know are waiting to watch for cheaper rates.

Anyway, they at least decided to try and stay at the same resort just because of the day pass thing, they decided it would have been more expensive to stay elsewhere and get day passes.

I never thought of it before, but I think I'm going to add that to my website as well, just in case there are more people thinking about that.

I have two guests staying at a different resort as they are having a family vacation with their relatives at the same time. We have decided not to pay for thes passes which are in the $300 range as originally they were staying at our hotel and were warned about this. It would actually be more of a benefit to stay one night at our hotel and get all the goodies then just pay for a day pass that is only good for a certain time frame. I am still going to give them an awesome OOT bag though which will hopefully make them happy.

Something I have been courious of is if you are paying a per person dinner charge for a priavte reception do you still have to pay for the day pass for that person? This seems silly. We are planning on paying for the passes but it could cost us over $2000 if 20 people are not staying at our resort. Ug this is more than the actual wedding. I think if it gets that high in number we wont be able to pay for any of them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
