We're paying about $4,500 for 8 hours of coverage, a TTD session (no time or location limit), and a disc of all the photos. It was more than I had budgeted for, but my FI had his heart set on this particular photographer. I figure if he wants to put us over budget, it's fine by me since he's paying for it, lol.

We're trying to keep it to 2K. I have this photographer that I love and really want to use her however she costs to much money in addition to the fact that we would have to pay for all of her expenses to get to the destination. So to keep in budget we are using who we can afford.

I am using Gwendolyn Tundermann from Jacksonville, FL. It is a husband/wife team and she is so great! Easy to talk to and responds very quickly.

Hang in there, don't give up - something will come through! does your resort offer free photography with a package? Anyone in your group able to be the designated photographer?

Also, maybe someone on BDW will fly a photog down during the same time as your wedding and you can share cost.

At one of the local bridal shows I met a photog that charges based on one of his packages (starting $1000s?). He does not charge for travel just accomodations. So you would only need to pay for his hotel stay (per him for 1-2 days unless you needed him longer). I'll see if I can find the information/web site etc. and repost.

You know it would be nice the BDW photogs would offer shared cost for wedding at the same location around the same time. I know they are busy because based on some of the photos they are some of the best I've seen. But if they are going to be in Cancun Sat/Sun for one couple why not offer travel/accomodation share for another couple before or after. Well, maybe they do and I just have not seen it.

My wedding photographer was absolutely wonderful and well priced. I believe we spent around $2200, we got a disk of all the photos with the printing rights, 2 days of shooting (full day wedding then TTD the next day), and that included their flight and hotel stay.

Here's some of my photos on facebook:

And here's her website:

I can't guarantee her prices are the same now but worth checking out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
