Anyone else feelin the p90x blues? I'm STRUGGLING to get through week 8... I've been on week 8 for two weeks technically, just getting in a workout about every other day. I'm heading back to work next week and have been crazy busy getting things together to go back to class (I'm a teacher), plus my FI is on vacation. I actually missed 3 days in a row over the weekend when we had company staying with us. UGH! I was doing so well for the first 7 weeks. How am I going to keep up with this when I am working full time! How do you ladies do it? Do you get up early in the morning before work?

The hardest part about P90X is showing up everyday.  I've "quit" three times are the one month mark. =(

How is everyone doing with the pull-ups on P90X?  I have done Insanity and it's awesome, but I am reluctant to try P90X due to the significant number of pull-ups (which I can't do)...I know they show the use of the chair, but I get frustrated because if I can't do em the real way, what's the point?!?  I used to be in pretty decent shape pre-shoulder surgery about two months ago and am looking for tips on where to start up once I am better.  For now it's the good 'ol stationary bike.

I have a pull up bar but can't do the real ones yet! I'm using resistance bands. There is always one person using resistance bands in each DVD so you can see how to modify the exercises.

Ahahaha!!!! This seriously just made me crack up!! My FI and I started P90x last year for my bf's DW and got through about 6-8 weeks. We are going to start back up this week to prepare for our own now, which is about 7 months out. But, YES Drea drives me nuts, esp. that part with the "heel" comment. And Tony makes me want to throw up how annoyingly conceited he is. There is one other that drives me CRAZY... I want to say she is on the first disc,it almost sounds like she has an accent, but I think it is just her trying to talk like a little girl who really needs to learn to not talk with her mouth full, ugh I can't think of her name right now, but she makes me want to reach through the screen!! Well, either way, it is definitely  the work out to get us all in great shape for the big day and my dress should be in any day now and I am sure NOT going to be getting fitted in the shape I am currently in... so here goes!!!! Good luck everybody!!!!

I have 2 weeks left but will take a week off and start over.

Let me just say I was cracking up reading this. I cant stand Drea!!! The one thing that annoys me most is she goes Tony "how about if I push off with my heel instead of my foot?" Like shut up!!!!

Her Drea roll is lame too! LOL! I pray she is not in the next series.

              Keep pushing play ladies!

Don't let that discourage you! Honestly, although I also cannot do pull-ups (let's face it, most girls can't,despite how athletic we may be/have been), the system still works great. I did use the chair and still was able to kick my own butt. It's not like you are standing on it, just giving yourself leverage so you can control exactly how much resistance is appropriate for you at your given fitness level, which is the same for any of the workouts. Also, no matter how much of an athlete or how good of shape you start in, you would probably need the chair for some of them anyway, because they are not just standard pull-ups (like the "corncob" for instance, which is crazy). Just use the chair for only the ones you need and try to reduce it as you go, it's all progress just the same ;) Good luck!!!

Sorry ladies, I have been offline for awhile. I use the resistance bands too instead of pull-up bars. I have tried with a bar but fail every time! I cant even do 1!!!

I have completed another round & am done as of last week. We are going on vacation next week to Jamaica & I am hoping I dont eat & drink myself away! lol. When we return I plan to start another round that Sunday.

My first round of P90x I had stopped working out for a week & skipped a workout or 2. I was in the 2nd month so I just re-started that month over instead of starting from the 1st month. Dont get discouraged if you miss workouts. Just get back into it the next day!

                  Good luck everyone!!

Well I am back from vacation...pants feel tighter :(

Started P90x over again and am on day 3 today. After doing plyo yesterday I can barely walk today! Its amazing how quickly your body goes back to mush!!

                      Hope everyone is doing well.
