Thanks!  Anytime!  Good luck in your journey!  Stop and let us know how things are going!!! I'll probably start the program again in July!

Oh, I also didn't follow the meal plan...and I didn't do recovery drinks either. (although I heard chocolate milk works great as a recovery drink without having to buy the shakes!!)  I just watched my overall calorie intake and ate several times throughout the day.  You definitely do have to make sure you are eating enough protein and good carbs, so that your body has enough to feed from.  I remember in week 3, I finished yoga up and thought I was going to pass out.  I ran to wawa and got a protein bar, and halfway to being done I felt 100 times better.  Going from not working out barely at all to working out hard for 6 1/2 hours a week really does catch up wtih you!!

FI and I are on Week 5 of P90X and loving it! I'm so lucky that he's as into fitness as I am, not only is he my running partner but he's also enjoyed the video aspect of it as well, it definitely helps having someone there to motivate you and make you push play! We don't do the Yoga, we already workout 2X per day as it is (running 3-5 miles each morning and P90X in the evenings), I like the higher intensity/cardio and just couldn't bring myself to stretch through and hour and 20 minuts of that stuff! :) I do have to admit that in the beginning I absolutely HATED back and push-up days, I dreaded them....but now I like doing them and like seeing the progress that I've been able to make in such short amount of time!

We are not following the meal plan but do eat "relatively" healthy!

Thats great! My FI and I are in the same boat. Its so nice to have someone motivating you. If one of us dont feel like working out when the other is, it makes you feel lazy & guilty so you have to!

Today is my last day of week 1. I am sore but not as sore as I was the first time I did P90x. I still dread the back & push-ups but hopefully I will like it one day like you lol! I have been running the mornings of the weight days only. I thought it would be too much to run on cardio days. I tried doing the yoga a few times but I just can't stand it. Its very slow & I too long. So, I am just doing random cardio on yoga days. Has anyone tried the shakeology? I was thinking about doing the 3 day cleanse with it on the recovery week.

aquamaniac - that is definitely a motivation! You can do it!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey ladies! I'm planning on starting the program after the holiday weekend in July. I'm a teacher and I have the summer off, so I basically have NO EXCUSE not to workout daily! I have a burnt copy of the program from a friend of mine. I don't have any of the manuals or guides. Do you think I should shell out the 50 bucks for the full program, or should I just use the burnt copies? I found a link a couple of pages back with the program. Thanks to whoever posted that!

I am using burnt copies as well. No need to buy anything, they work just as well as long as you have all the workouts. I have a pdf of the schedule & workout sheets if you want it. PM me & I can send it to you. No need to spend $50 on that!!

I definitely wouldn't spend the money either!  I am using burnt copies and always find the workout schedule online.  You can also dig and find the nutrition directions online if you are planning on following that.  Good luck!!!  I just got back from 10 days of no working out and eating like crappppp...I'm so ready to work out again!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
