Thanks.  I think I agree with you.  I am going to keep trying to eat more, but still stay healthy.  I do try to eat 4-6 times a day, so I'm never hungry.

Yay for BD shopping!! I bought a hot little black see through garter number with lace thigh hights that I am SOOOO excited about!! It came in the other day and when I put it on, I just about died.  He has definitely never seen me in something that sexy, so he's going to love it!! I'm also wearing red lace boy shorts and an unbuttoned phillies jersey, and then my bridal garter and white lace thong for another outfit..I need white heels for that one! (no top ;o) ).  Then I think I might just do some "white sheet" poses too.  yay!! Mine is in just over 2 weeks!!  Clearly I'm super pumped haha.

On another note...I'm considering trying on a pair of size 4 pants!!  My size 6's are now quite loose (some I can't even wear anymore because they just look like they hang on me :oP)..I'm starting to feel like I have no work clothes to wear!!  Today when I pulled my waist-band out there is about 1-2" of slack.  Hoping thats a pant size! haha.  Regardless, I'm not buying new clothes until I'm done with the program...I have hard that weeks 9-13 are when the results really start to kick in.

Yoga for me today too!! I'm actually looking forward to it.

I'm so happy to discover this thread! I'm at the end of week 12! I just have Kenpo and then recovery week. My fiance and I have been doing the whole program together and we're both thrilled with the results. I can't wait to do my measurements.

Only 33 days until our wedding day!

Thank You! I've done my own take on the diet. But its still pretty strict. I eat 5-6 times a day and I've been using the recovery shake which I found on the beachbody website for 50% off. I also use Cliff body builder protein bars as snacks. They're a little pricey but they're delicious and all natural! I don't eat any of the jerky that they recommend mainly because I don't like it. Usually my second snack of the day is plain greek yogurt with honey or an apple and peanut butter. So the diet is usually:

Egg whites with 1 piece Ezekial(sp?) toast and berries, or steel cut oats with protein powder, or kashi cereal with soy milk

recovery shake

protein bar

salad with protein like chicken or egg whites

yogurt or apple

low fat dinners which include chicken or fish, veggies and quinoa or brown rice

We're thinking about just continuing the P90x program until we live for the wedding... so I guess I'm not done yet!

I live near northern liberties which is not far from you at all!

Wow, that's awesome!  I wish I liked half that stuff lol...although its not far off from what I have been eating.  Do you think the recovery shakes have made a difference for you?  I don't use anything like that, but I do think I'm a little low on my calorie count and can't imagine eating much more.  Maybe I should consider starting a shake after my workout?

I am definitely going to keep working through the program when I am done with the 13 weeks.  I will still have about 3-4 weeks left until we leave, so I definitely want to keep the momentum going.

I think the recovery shakes help with soreness. And I'm seeing a little more definition and toning. It helps when I work out at night. Since I like to work out right after work before dinner, I'm starving by the time the workout is over and the recovery shake helps hold me over until I finish making dinner.

I think it gets much easier to keep going after you've been doing it for so long. It also helps to have the wedding to keep you motivated!

I have the exact same situation with having to work out between work and dinner and I agree, having a recovery shake helps with that a lot! Starting week 6 today! I need to go find my dress soon so I'm hoping to be in great shape for that.

  • 4 weeks later...

Hey Ladies!!! Long time no talk!!!  :o)  I just started week 9 and am in the home stretch!!  I am so excited with my results so far!  I just had my first dress fitting last week and my wedding gown fit me PERFECT!! (its a corset, so its adjustable).  I remember just a few months ago when I put it on when it first came in and I was in tears...now I am SO excited!!  I ended up ordering my TTD a size up because of my wedding gown being small the last time I was in, and now she has to take it in over an inch! (probably more after the next 4 weeks is up!).  I didn't get to take pictures at the 60 day mark, but my dress fitting was proof enough that my body is definitely changing.  :o)

How is every else's progress!?!

  • 2 weeks later...

With only TWO months to go until our wedding day my FI and I decided to start P90X yesterday. Perviously we've been spedning mornings in the gym lifting weights (I would warm-up with 20 min on the elliptical) and then running 5 miles in the evenings outdoors. Together we've both become avid runners actually completing our first Marathon in Feb, but in Texas it's getting too hot too fast!

We're both really excited, anxious and scared with P90X, although won't complete the program before we leave for the Wedding I'm hoping we'll see "some" results by then. Our plan is to still continue our outdoor running in the mornings and then do the the videos in the evenings (neither one of us can give up our love of running).

Do any of you do any other type of workout in addition to P90X?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
