I have a 2nd job waitressing too. I got some nonslip sketchers shape up shoes I wear while I work so I like to think it is kind of a workout haha.

On another note I did chest, shoulders and triceps today. Pretty much impossible for me to do all those push ups!

uggh!! SO not looking forward to that.  I'm worried about working out my chest in general because I think it is already getting smaller, and I can't afford to lose much more!!! lol  I don't have much to begin with!  :oP

My BD is officially scheduled for April 16!  Ahhhh!!!  It's crunch time for this bod! lol

I'm excited for this week to be over so that I can do my measurements and take pictures and hopefully see a good change!

Working out your chest will build up your muscles though and make it bigger not smaller! And i feel your pain lol my fiance is buying me plastic boobs for a wedding gift! i'm so pumped!

Ahhh yoga tonight. I like the yoga video but I wish it wasn't so damn long, or if there was more time in the day that would help too!

Ok, thanks.  I think all of this cardio is what is doing it!?!?  My bridesmaid who is doing it with me feels the same way.  Maybe we are just imagining it, but they definitely seem like they look/feel a bit smaller than when I started?

I hear ya about the yoga!  Stick it out girl!  I think everyone struggles with the amount of time it takes.  As if an hour of your every day isn't enough!

We switched our off day from today to yesterday (recovery week), so today is Kenpo! Love it!

Just finished my first 30 days!!  I have only lost 2 lbs, but have lost 3/4" in my belly, 1/4" in my hips and about 1/2" in my waist.  I almost wish I would have done more measurements that because I can tell from my day 1 vs. day 30 pictures that a lot more areas of my body are changing!  Definitely great motivation to keep moving!  My BD shoot is in exactly 4 weeks, and my first fitting just a few days after!  I can't believe in a few days I will be less than 3 months away from my wedding day!

That is awesome Jessica congrats! It's awesome to actually get to see the changes happening. Less than 3 months wow that is awesome!! I bet time will really fly now. I start my first 'recovery' week today. Yoga twice makes me happy cause that is my favorite video. Now if I only I could fast forward to 4pm and be done with work and get to workout.

  • 2 weeks later...

ughh...a badddd week of eating last week has made me feeling awful :o  ... and for some reason I am back up to 124-125 where I started!?!?!?!   Soooo not feeling good at the moment.  I am 2 days into week 6 and starting to worry that I'm not eating enough??  I can't imagine eating much more without feeling bad about it?  Liz, since we are about the same size, how many calories are you eating a day??  My BD shoot is in less than 3 weeks!!   I'm starting to feel like I need to pick up my game somehow??

Aw that's okay I had a pretty bad week of working out too. I slacked even more than you're supposed to on my recovery week oops.

I don't really track calories too much, I just make sure everything I eat is healthy and that I get a good variety each day. I did try to track them for awhile just to see if I was meeting goals on vitamins, minerals, protein, etc. and I always ate around 1200-1400 calories a day. But I think that is kind of too low. I was low on all of my nutrients and I know I don't eat enough because I'm so damn busy all the time I skip meals a lot and rarely snack. I think as long as what you eat is healthy and low in sugar, saturated fat, salt and that kinda bad stuff it's fine to eat 1500-2000 calories a day. If you don't eat enough your body will feel starved and resist weight loss.

Have you ever tried quinoa? It's similar to rice or couscous. We tried it last night for the first time and both loved it, even better than rice! Anyway...it's super healthy for you. I think I read it's the healthiest of all the grains. It has 7 g of protein in a cup and less carbs than rice. It also has a lot of vitamins and minerals like Magnesium and amino acids. I got it in the 'bulk food' section at the grocery store and just simmered 1 cup of quinoa in 1 1/2 cups of water with the lid on for 15 min. Let it sit for 5 min, fluffed with a fork and it's done. Just something different to try!

I feel like I need to pick up my game too. I'm glad it'll be nice out soon and I can run outside...I'm hoping if I add that into my workout schedule as much as possible it'll give me faster results!

I'm eating between 1200-1400 calories a day, but I eat 4-6 times a day too, I'm just trying to choose the right things!

I haven't had quinoa yet, but I have heard great things about it!!  I'll have to try and find it next time I'm out!  My friend at work that is a major health freak loves it.

Well i'm by no means an expert but I think that what you're doing is good, although I would try to keep it closer to 1400 as much as possible. I don't think 1200 calories is enough when you're working out 6 days a week.

I felt like a failure for slacking so much and skipping plyo on tuesday so I busted my ass with back and bi yesterday and can feel it now! On a happy note...I ordered a bunch of outfits for my BD shoot...so fun I love shopping ha!!! For some reason I feel like I shouldn't wear anything he's ever seen me in. I'm trying to find sexy white heels too to match some of them. I realize now I have tons of black heels but no white.

Yoga today---I will have to do it tonight after the baby goes to bed fun fun

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
