I LOVE P90X.  I started my first round late last spring, and am on my 3rd round now.  I have seen amazing results and am in the best shape of my life.  After this round is complete, I plan to do the Lean version for something different.  Good luck ladies, stick with it.

Hey girls!! I'm hoping to bring this back!?!  I just borrowed the P90X disc set from my colleague and am planning to start up on Monday of next week!  I watched a little bit of the Chest and Back video and it doesn't seem TOO bad!?!?

I'm a little worried about staying motivated, but my first real dress fitting is at the end of April (about 9 weeks away!!!), and my dress was a bit tight when it first came in (I added between 1-1 1/2 inches to my waist and hips over the past 6 months :oP).  So I am hoping that motivates me enough to keep me moving!  I've already lost about 4lbs just eating better -- FI has lost 15!  His goal is to lose 35 lbs all together, so he has 25 more to go.  He is going to start this program along with me, so hopefully we both keep each other motivated!  We are thinking about just quitting our gym because neither of us ever go!  I am hoping working out at home works better for us!

STARTING STATS:  5'4, 126lbs

GOAL:  Tone up! Specifically my midsection.  Not looking to lose too much weight, but I need to lose this belly!

STARTING DATE: 2/21/11

ENDING DATE: 5/22/11   --  exactly 1 month before we leave for Mexico!!!

I'm IN!!! i have been slacking on starting it because i need to spend some dough on the dumb bells--but I'll start today!!

I'm 5' 10" and weigh 137 but I'd like to weigh 130 ( i have always been long and lean but have gained these pesky 5-7 pounds that i just cant lose...)

realistically though i dont NEED to lost weight. I just want to tone up big time because i have no definition to me at all.

ok P90X. BRING IT.

Yay!  I'm in the same boat as you.  I weight 126, I really don't need to lose much weight.  All of my excess fat stores in my midsection, so I can tell quickly when I pack on a few pounds.  I'm excited to get started on Monday!!  I have dumbells and am going to pick up bands this weekend!

Which schedule are you following?  I was going to go with the regular schedule and someone I work with who is halfway through the program said for what I am looking to achieve I should be on the Lean workout program.  It focuses more on toning and cardio than on bulking up (less lifting).  It uses the same DVDs, but in a different order.  Here is the lean schedule I found online -- http://www.weightloss-hq.biz/exercise-reviews/the-p90x-workout-schedule-lean.html

jessica--

interesting!! i was going to do the traditional one--but maybe i'll switch to the lean one? like you-most of my "unpleasant" area is in my midsection and honestly-I HATE it when my arms get "bulky". i have been doing this "100 push up challenge" that is a 6 week program and feel when i look at my arms instead of looking toned-they just look fat recently. who knows if that is just my perception or what..but regardless i don't like it!

hmm....

Yes, more calories are definitely burned with the Lean program.  Oh my!!! My colleague was showing me the list of stuff that is in the core synergistics cd and my jaw was like on the floor lol  Good for you for starting today!!!!!!!!! Keep going!! Maybe I'll start tomorrow instead of waiting til Monday!?!?!  I guess I was just thinking that it would be good to start on a day off (which I have monday).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
