Songs! It is so hard, we have too many and there is only so many you can play during a ceremony!

For our reception, I have asked all the bridesmaid and friends to pick 5 songs they like to hear in a row. Then we are making a playlist so we have different variety and styles. which can play through dinner. And if the DJ needs any help at the party we can also give it to him cheesy.gif

We are doing the steel drum band for the ceremony, so that makes it a bit easier, but I still have to pick what song(s) I want them to play... Songs for reception are pretty easy, just pick my favs from my Ipod playlist!

Hi Sabrina,

We're thinking about the steel drums, think it will be fun. We did have 32 guests but think the numbers have gone up so maybe 40. I want the beach ceremony and reception at Calabash. Are u renting the restaurant out? I keep changing my mind about the reception though. We will do a cocktail hour between ceremony and reception after the pics, and thinking about renting the disco from 8.30-10.30. But I am not sure about that yet. Will need to have a look first.

What are your colours?

I cant believe it is coming round so soon!

That such a great idea asking bridesmaids to helped you pick the songs. I was having such a hard time my wedding planner suggested some songs in Spanish that goes with the destination wedding in Mexico we choose one that we liked a lot. Having a list for the DJ is great in case you don't like the music he can have an idea what you like, thanks for sharing with us I will do the same :)

I am having the hardest time deciding what to walk down the aisle to!! I am going to have a steel drum band play the song. The girls are going to walk down to 'One Love' by Bob Marley - I know its be done a thousand times but I love it. I want something reggae-ish too but have no clue!

Any suggestions?

My dress arrived! At last! but I am not even in the country to try it on, I'm away until 4th December arrive back on Sunday 5th in the morning then leave for Jamaica Saturday the 11th! So I am hoping that it fits perfectly, and if not it leaves a seamstress 5 working days to alter wink.gif

I'm not even stressing about anything, there are so many things that I wanted to do but haven't, so I'm thinking I didn't really want to do them in the first place lol

I am honestly so excited! woot.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
