I am sooo getting excited Wendy! (Do you mind if I call you that? Your username is really annoying to type, lol!)

Every time I look at my To-Do list I wanna barf. But I AM getting through it! Not as quickly as I'd like, but I'm treading water!

I've put my deposits down on the flowers and DJ this week, and sent my design for my wedding band to the jewellers. I am doing my engagement photo shoot on Monday - eek! So I've been spending oodles of cash getting myself all primped and primed for that. lol

How is everyone else doing with their list?

I'm finally realizing that should have been looking for my shoes over the summer, but it didn't dawn on me until this week... eek, and especially as my dress comes in less than a month.  Otherwise I'm also starting to feel the crunch of the to-do lists, figuring out hair and trying to get the details out to everyone and coordinating the stragglers..... all I can say is thank god for destination weddings because I don't have the patience to be doing more than this!

Now is the perfect time...can you say clearance? smile123.gif

I have my shoes already (2pair in hot pink)...but I have seen lots at DSW lately. Not sure what color you are going for but they had a nice selection of colors when I was there last.

I'm having the same issue with my bridesmaids. I'm not picky on what shoes they wear, just as long as they aren't white and somewhat go with the colour scheme. A lot of them didn't shop early enough even though I offered to take them shopping and buy the shoes as part of their gift! Oh well, I honestly dont care much.

I got mine JUST at the end of summer for a great deal. You'll find lots online, shoes shopping on line is pretty crappy because you can't try em on but at least you can find stuff! Try Zappos, they have free returns for US addresses.

Okay, now it's getting close enough that I'm starting to stress about everything that I have been putting off...  When you girls talk about your to do list, do you actually have one written or typed down?  What's the best method for keep track of it all and keeping track of what you need to do?

Breeze616 Yes u can call me Wendy lol... If theirs a Macys in your area I recommend getting shoes there on the one day sale. My bridesmaids got their shoes last week original price $70 after all the discounts they came out to $20. This is a great time to find great summer deals.

Meitra I wrote my list in a little note book that I carry in my purse and every time I forget to add something I write it down in my notebook or if I find something at the store I right away high light the item. I guess what ever is easier for you.

I have a to-do list on my computer. I keep track of how much money everything is going to cost me so that my FI and I know how much to budget. The computer works for me because I almost ALWAYS have it around me for work and at home, so whenever I find a good idea, quote, or something that just needs to get done before we depart for Mexico, I can always add it to the list and prioritize them accordingly!

I am also a December bride ... I need to get shoes ASAP as well as shoes for my FI. I am not worried about the bridesmaids as I think they can figure out their own shoe/jewelery/hair situation. I have bought the dress, FI's outfit, bridesmaids dresses and most of the items for our OOT guests.

I am currently working on finalizing the travel arrangements for our photographer to come to Mexico. It feels like there is so much to do, and no time left to do it. I am a teacher, so the summer is over now, and it is officially time for me to get my brain back into school-mode ... I'm not sure how I will get everything done, I guess I will have to learn to delegate!

Yes I have another list of spending on items on my excel making sure I don't go over my budget it has helped me out a lot. I totally understand you I am a teacher too :) and I am almost going back to work and I know once I start working I won't have time to do anything else, I think that's why I started rushing trying to finish as much as I can with my to due list. :( I feel a little stress

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
