RMB Baker contact number

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

If you want a upgraded cake at RMB, Sherika gave me Keisha's number, 876-886-4949. I asked Sherika about 6 months ago about getting a cake upgrade and she said it was impossible. But, apparently they have a baker now. I called Keisha today and it went straight to voicemail. So, I have no other info.

I will post again when I get a response.

I just emailed Keisha, delicatedesserts@gmail.com a picture of what I wanted and she said she would send a quote. She also said they use a dummy cake for the presentation, that you cut a piece out of for pictures, then sheet cakes for eating. Part of the wedding package (depending on which one you choose) includes a cake, so be sure to ask that that amount gets subsidized into your quote.

When I did my flowers, I made sure to get the value of my package flowers subsidized into my ugrades and it did make a difference in price.

Well, she got back to me with just a price, $696! No break down of the gold she uses instead of flour. Seriously, it's not even a real cake, it's a dummy cake they put icing on, then they serve sheet cake. I am even bringing my own chocolate sea shells to decorate the cake with, the other baker quoted me $350 for the exact same design with a real cake. But, because of the vendor fee RIU is now imposing, I was going to use the RIU baker. The non RIU baker's cake would still be cheaper with the vendor fee. I just feel like the RIU vendors are just taking advantage of us because they have an monopoly.

the quote i got was over 700 dollars for a cake to feed 20 to 35 ppl!!!!! I thought that was ridiculous. I didn't tell her about the included cake, but still that price is outrageous! And the top layer is not real of a 3 tier cake (what she recommended for that many ppl)

i saw seashells in white chocolate that are affordable! If you want to take them along for the cake decor!

Buy Chocolate Seashell for Wedding Favors, Chocolate Sea Shells for Favors, Chocolate Sea shells for cake decorating, seashell collections for cake decorating, Olde Naples FL.

Another option is gum paste flowers...or just buy a cake topper..

I don't think i can afford a cake for more than 700 dollars!

The vendor fee (if you don't use who is on the RIU's list) is $200.

Their recommended photography contact is photoshop (Michael). Baker is Keisha (# listed above), although you can still get a free cake with the wedding package. I was only considering an upgraded cake because i thought it wouldn't be that much more and I dont want to take a cake topper with me, but guess i will now that the cake is that expensive for an upgrade. Flower vendor with the RIU is Tai Flora Oh you also have to pay this 200 dollar vendor fee for hair and makeup artists, because they want you to use their renova spa. Hope this helps!

Hi, Ladies-

So, I asked Keisha (from Delicate Desserts) for a detailed bill to figure out why the cake is so expensive and she refused. She did not respond to my suggestion that we work together to figure out a nice cake that was reasonable priced.

I forwarded all our emails to Sherika the WC at RMB, and Sherika promised to find out why Keisha is so unwilling to work this out. Then, Sherika promised to find another vendor if Keisha is still being unreasonable.

I suggested that I be allowed to use the original baker I had before the new RIU vendor penalty fees. My original baker said she could do a real cake with no dummy layers for half the price of Delicate Desserts. Plus, she was so sweet, helpful and professional when planning the details of the cake. She gave me a detailed bill, without me even asking.

I hope I don't have to work with Keisha, she was honestly a bit rude and did not seem concerned with customer service. Doesn't she want the business? Oh, well, will post when Sherika gets back to me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
