Yes, I am just in the process of booking the videographer now for the ceremony.  We decided to do it because we could use the Vacation dollars credit for it ($500) otherwise we would have passed.  Not sure how good it will be.

Also, they will do a live webcast of the ceremony for you for like $249.  That is always an option.  I think we are going to go that route for family members who aren't able to travel but would like to see the ceremony live.

They ok'd you to use your $500 resort credit for the videographer?  Thats strange.  My understanding is that you could put the resort credit towards your wedding package, but you could not use it on additional options.  They have so many different rules based on who you speak to over there.  Its becoming frustrating.

Have you told them you are using an outside photographer?  I am too and I was just wondering what their rules were about that.  I mentioned to my WC that I was bringing some of my own decorations and she said there was a set up fee for that...about $55.  It's one of my friends that is staying for 4 nights so I might not even bring it up to them.

Here is the exact quote from my Miami contact Wedding Sales Executive.

"I canâ€t write in the contract that you could use outside vendors because you could only use an outside photographer and they would need to either stay at the resort or purchase a wedding day pass. """"

I copied and pasted that from an email she sent me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
