Does anyone know if you can mix & match the reception menus? We're 100% vegetarian, and will only serve vegetarian food at our wedding events... that being said, the only way to have enough vegetarian options is to pull from several different menus... does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks!

Terpgirl- For our OOT gift bags, my mother-in-law's best friend, offered to do them as a wedding gift to us, which was awesome.  She did not have any trouble getting the stuff in.  She did have 1 suitcase devoted to just  that.

SChica- You can add 1 or 2 max from another menu but otherwise they will not allow you to mix and match on the menus. I would check to see if they have some vegetarian options that is not listed in the general information.  For the ribbon on the bouquet, to be honest I didn't even pay attention to that.  It's what it came with, I did not request it so if you have a specific color I would bring your own ribbon to be sure, but I would imagine, you will have to wrap that on your own.  The complimentary bouquets are limited and you can upgrade (of course). They still do have a great selection.

Thanks! I ordered the koozies from this seller from Ebay. Just search for odysseycustomdesigns She was awesome and a great deal. I got 100 koozies for $79.00. Here is their fb fan page that shows their designs facebook.com/koozierevolution. My bm designed what I wanted b/c I wanted to keep it consistent with my other items so I just sent them them the file and voila, they came out perfect. I got 50 hot pink and 50 orange.

Here is what my card said. I am not going to lie, I stole some of the wording from other brides on BDW:-) The other side I listed all the events for the week like the welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, wedding day events and breakfast with the bride and groom the day after. I also got these cards made in vistaprint. It was 50 oversized postcards for free but I paid for the backside to be in color and for shipping so for 50 cards, it was about $17. I did slow shipping and it came pretty fast.

So happy to announce that we received our wedding video on Friday. It looks like it only took two days to get from Mexico to Canada.

Terpgirl - I brought all our welcome bags in one suitcase and I think they pulled it out because of the number bottles because it didn't come out on the conveyor belt with everyone else's bags and we actually had to look around the airport for an hour trying to find it. Thankfully, everything was there though. It just cut into our first day and made us late for the airport transfer which caused another delay.

Schica - I actually had a real touch bouquet and asked Valeria to have the comp bouquet added to it. They only used about a third of the flowers I originally provided, and I didn't get the others returned. But it did look beautiful and there was no extra charge. My original bouquet had a silver ribbon, but they replaced it with an ivory one. She also allowed us to add one item from another menu.

Yes they will do whatever color.  I asked for mine without a bow and it looked great.  I added a pin to the bottom of mine for my "something borrowed" and it was returned.

Should I plan to bring ribbon or a decorative piece for that if I want them to use it -- will they?

The OOT bag it self was screenprinted by me and my talented BM. It was such a pain to make 45 of them. I am hoping my guests can use the bags as beach bags too. Some are a little messed up but it was made with love:-)  In the celophane bags, I have gatoratde packets, advil, pepto, bandaids, aloe vera, hand sanitizer, and sunscreen. I think I might get some gum/mints too. If you ladies have any other ideas, let me know!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
