Thanks!  They are staying so I probably won't even mention it.

I'm getting married in July and my TA told me that bunking with others was the easiest way. We have a 3pm wedding so we'll make sure we have our bags packed and ready to go early that morning.

I think i'll actually get dressed in that new room as well since it shouldn't be too messy.  I haven't booked it yet (in a week or so), but once I figure out i'll let you know how the process went.

We are, and it seems like the only option (without having to pay single occupancy rates) is to bunk up with 1 other person each, and then swap on the wedding day... but that means we'd swap into Superior Deluxe rooms (i.e. the cheapest because that's where we're staying up until the wedding night)...

The added complexity comes because we're getting a 1-BR suite as our "honeymoon" suite starting the wedding night -- so we'd both have to check in to this new room on the wedding day itself -- which isn't going to happen, because that's the LAST thing I want to worry about that day!  Do you think the WC can help us with this?

Any one else trying to figure this out? Or has anyone come up with a solution?!

We were all near each other, not right next to each other, but everyone was within a few doors down of each other. Anyone who upgraded to an ocean view room when everyone else is in a standard room will be in a different area.

Does anyone know if the WC tries to get your guests close to your room/building.. or just in the same section.  ?

Thx!

akotha -- we're working with a TA and have given our guests a few room-types to choose from, some in Nizuc and some in Sunrise. So the guest will pick what section they want to stay in, and I've told my TA exactly which buildings I want them to be in for each section.

So when she books the room, she'll give the WC a list of all the guests with requests for which bldg they want to be in... I heard that MP is really good about meeting the requests for wedding groups, so I'm hoping all my guests will be in the same place...

To answer your question -- I'm sure you can request your WC to have all the rooms blocked in one section/bldg.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
