Sorry, I'm new to this and have a ton of questions.  Is anyone traveling with young children?  Our two year old daughter will be coming with us.  From what I've been reading, it doesn't look like Moon Palace has a babysitting service.  I don't think we will be able to afford to pay for our babysitter to come for the week, but also don't want to burden our family and friends who are coming with looking after her while we are preparing for the wedding.  Is anyone else having similar concerns or have any ideas for me?

They have a kids club, which is free of charge. They keep them entertained and they feed them as well. The staff at the kids club are all CPR certified as well. I don't know what the minimal age is. I do know that the cut off age for kids is 11 or 12 yrs old. You should call the 800 number for Moon Palace for further details. Hello ladies!!! I am also looking to have a wedding at the moon palace 9-3-2011. I heard this is hurricane season, I dont know if I need to change my date. I also wanted to know if this resort was around the same price as the other resorts in Mexico. I have a large family and I would like for most of the immediate family to be able to afford the trip. I went to Jamaica last year for my friends wedding and we only paid around 90 a night. MP quoted me 154pp... Any advice?

We are also traveling with our daughter who will be 2 at the time of our wedding and also my niece and nephew who are 6 and 10.  The kids Club is free, but the age requirement is 4-12.  My niece and nephew will most likely be in the kid's club but it is a lot tougher to figure out who is watching the baby!  My parents and his parents have both said that they would keep her with them for a night and we would keep her with the us of the time but I honestly think that when we get there and they are having a blast with their friends they may not want to watch her.  I'm fine with keeping her at night since she is my daughter but, I also want to enjoy the night life with our friends that will be coming with us.   We will be there August 7-14 and our guests and Olivia will be there the 8-12 so, we will have a few days to ourselves.   Some of our friends are also thinking about staying a little longer than the rest of the guests, so we could spend some time with them afterwards.

We've booked and put down out deposits and we were told that we have Feb 7th 2011 to get our final balance in and this was even quoted in the price.  Now I'm being told that we have until Jan 12th to get the final balance in as Moon Palace wants their money sooner and I've been told that they have added an early booking bonus but that isn't listed in the quote either.  Can they do this?  One of the reasons why we booked with who we did was because of the length of time we had to get the money in as some our guests need the time to save the money.

That is awful.  Who is telling you that you need to pay sooner, the MP rep or your TA?  That doesn't seem right to me.  Do you have everything in writing?  So sorry.

It's hard to sort out arrangements for kids that young.  Of course we want her there and I want to have fun doing things with her, but at the same time it is our wedding/honeymoon and we want time to enjoy with our friends and by ourselves.  My fiance and I are staying May9 - May 16.  Most of my guests are staying May 11 - May 15.  I think I am going to leave her home with my brother.  He will travel with her on the 11th and she will stay with us the rest of the time.  I also have a few older teen nieces (15 -16 yr old).  I may just pay them to babysit a few nights once I put Zoey down to sleep.  I don't think they will mind.  After all, they have no business being out and about at night in Mexico...haha!!
